You just hang in there. What a terrible person you encountered. It won't be long now before you have the chance to start over on your weight!! You will look so great, that guy will fall off the deck!

You have a truly wonderful man. It sounds as though you have a lot of love between the two of you and he respects and supports you. He sounds like he is truly a blessing. Prayers, K.-

Dear Debra...your hubby sounds like the Perfect Man, and how blessed you are to have found him. What a beautiful and loving gesture that was to go back and set that awful guy straight...hopefully that idiot learned something (highly unlikely 'cuz he sounds like a brainless cretin). Concentrate on the positive in your life (your hubby and your friends here at AMOS)...and don't let this event disturb one hair on your head. Blessings on your journey, Joy

Hi, Debra: I just wanted to say what a sweet-heart your hubby is! I started crying when I read your post. Peoples' stupidity never ceases to amaze me. I'm sorry you even had to go through the ordeal, but I'm so happy that you have a wonderful, supportive hubby to back you up. Best of luck on your upcoming surgery! This guy will probably fall all over himself after all the weight's gone! LOL In the mean time, I think I'd send my dog to school and teach him the "Attack!" command! LOL Just kidding. Soon, you won't even have to worry about jack a**es like that.

Hi, Debra: Regarding Pete Herida, he died of Congestive Heart Failure. If you go to his profile (you can find him if you look under peers) Linda posted about him yesterday. His death had nothing to do with his WLS, and apparently he knew he was ill and his time here wasn't long. I'm still trying to find out about Cindy Brown. She's not on the memorial page, but Pete is. If you want to visit his web site, type in www.bigpete803.com into your browser. I couldn't get to his site from his profile link.

Debra, hang in there! Sometimes things just snowball, don't they? You'll be in my thoughts and prayers that things pick up for you. August is just around the corner and everything will be brighter very soon. I'm a pre-op awaiting insurance approval and it's been a roller coaster ride. If you need an email buddy or just someone to vent to, I'm here! I'm only an email away.

Debra - I sure hope today is a better day! Honestly, even now at a year post-op - I still have days where I've strayed and eaten a comfort food..or eaten too much "good" food because I was unhappy. Don't beat yourself up! Look forward to a new day and a new start. Or make the next hour a new hour and a new start. Chin up and tarry forward! I'm sorry it was such a horrid day, but I wanted you to know we helped take some of the load. :)
