So, Friday, the 5th, I had my endoscopy. It went well. Dr. Roger Orth was great and it happened I had a childhood friend as my nurse. The results were fine. No ulcers or anything. He did see looseness which means acid reflux he says. I have one last appointment on the 17th and my 6th month hoop jumping will be over. Dr. Lord's office will then be able to present everything to my insurance company and I will wait for the approval. I've been feeling like a denial is in my future. I've been on auto-pilot for these 6 months and now the reality is setting in. Not to mention my husband wants to have a baby. Ugh! I can't carry a baby at this weight and be healthy, but then I don't want to have to wait 2 years either or gain weight back when pregnant. Until next time......

Endoscopy and 6th and final GP visit to go. I'm so glad to have the majority of this behind me. Well, at least the visits and all. Now I can get down to the nitty gritty. I passed the nutrition quizz given to me and the psychiatrist didn't keep me...HA! However, she did say I was a perfect candidate because I carry my weight evenly distributed and I'm young and haven't cause too much damage to my joints and such. I made the necessary changes to my insurance and also upped my Flexible Spending for 2009 to the max of $3k. This will allow me to pay for my surgery at once and have the deductions pre-taxed out of my paycheck. I'm just not looking forward to losing that money each pay period..OH WELL! I'll be thin and healthy. Plus I figure I'll make up that money in savings from what I won't be eating. Well, until next time.....

So, it's November 08 and I'm in month 5 of my 6 month visits with my endoscopy left to do and also my 1 on 1 Nutrition and Psych. Eval.. I'm ready to get all information together and get the outcome. I want this so bad for my future. I don't want to be unhealthy anymore. I want it all behind me. I can't wait to post "Before and After" photos.

So, I attended my nutrition orientation yesterday. It's a lot to take in and make sure you do. I'm still in the process of seeing my physician for 6 months. I'm in month 5. I can't wait. I don't have a surgery date. I'm still jumping thru all of the hoops. My blood work came back just fine and so did my EKG & chest x-ray. This is good news for today, but not good as back up to present to insurance company as a medical neccesity. I'm so excited but afraid at the same time. I want all of this to be behind me.
