Hi Darice, Oh honey I remember how anxious and excited and nervous I was at this point (where you are now). It will be an awesome journey. Remember this, we are all so different and how our bodies react is different. Stay positive and keep looking for the good in every part of this journey especially when you feel discouraged. YOU are a walking miracle! Keeping you in my prayers..... Joanie

Darice you will be fine. When I had my surgery I thought I would be nervous, but I had confidence in my surgeron and I knew that God's arm of protection was rapped around me so I was just too calm. Be blessed, and don't stress because the "Best is Yet to Come."

Darice: You will do great. Try not to worry too much, the first 24 hrs are the hardest but it gets easier every day. Ok, a tip, make sure you get a lot of rest and take your pain meds if you need them. You will heal much faster is you take it really easy in the hospital and when you get home. You still need to try and walk 30 min a day but you can do it 10 min at a time. Get lots of extra sleep, take naps, don't try to do too much that first week out. Prayers are their way for your speedy recovery! Debbie

Remember everyone has that moment early post op when they say "What the hell did I just do to myself???" be prepared for it. When it comes (mine was 2 weeks - first post op holiday) I hope you remember this and start to laugh through the tears. It takes a while to get into this new lifestyle (foods are trial and error, exercise, drinking, etc.) but IT WILL GET BETTER and then... IT WILL GET GREAT! Best wishes and prayers being sent for a speedy recovery. ~Michelle
