Having more success with Victoza than with anything I have ever tried (including Lapband). I have lost 25 pounds in 10 weeks.

6 pounds from being what I was the day I had lap band surgery in February 2008. :( ~ No ones fault but my own. Do I care?? I don't really know anymore. It is something that consumes my mind, but I must want to eat more than I want to be healthier or I would not continue to eat the things that I know are against me. Why can't decisions be a one time for a life time thing. We would all choose to be a healthy weight and then move on to other things.
The older I get the more comfortable I am as me ~ no matter the hairs that keep turning up gray or the size of my body or the skin that is aging. I find I am enjoying my own company more and more and I worry less about what others think or say. However, I know I need to be healthier and I know I should be eating better and getting more exercise because I need to be here for my children as long as I can. With that being said, I will hopefully start making small changes in my life to move a little more and eat a little less sugar. Baby steps....baby Steps.... baby steps..... and hopefully little changes will eventually add up to big changes on the scales.

Right back where I was in February 2008 when I got my lap band surgery. If I were to say that I have a plan or even care, I would by lying so for now I will plead the 5th.

Went to a clinic this week to get some diet pills. Not super excited about it because I've been down this road so many times and I know the pills will work for a few months and then my body will adjust to them and they will not work anymore. :( I am feeling out of control. I have eaten everything I want for 7 months and I have gained lots of weight. My average weight for the past 2 years (before having band removed) was 155. I now weigh 170. It is very depressing to know that I had a tool and it made it possible for me to have some control over my eating and my weight and now I have nothing to depend on but my own self discipline and I have never had any of that so I am feeling very vulnerable. My daugher and I are trying to help each other out. Our goal is 20 pounds by April 1st. I sure hope we can motivate each other to stay away from the sweets.
