Ok Wes - you beat me to it!! And I can't think of anyone who deserves to have this surgery more than you so I can't even hold it against you (although I bet you'd like that you silly goofball) that you're getting to go first. Just look at it like this - I'm only 2 months and 18 days behind you. You hang in there and Wade and I will be with you and Lisa every single step of the way. Well, me and Wade and about 500 other close friends. We love you - you know that. Best wishes my dear sweet friend!!

It is 4:30 p.m. CST and I just got off of the phone with Wes' wife (and angel) Lisa. She said he came through the surgery GREAT! He is still in recovery waiting on a bed in ICU. She was able to go in a few minutes ago and see him. She said his color was good and he was aware of his visitors! She said he even asked her if she had eaten! WHAT A GUY! My heart is so happy for Wes today. I've had prayers going up for the past couple of days that his surgery would go well as well as his recovery. He is to be commended to have already lost so much weight on his own. With the help of WLS surgery, the world had better watch out now! Great going Wes! I'll see you soon! Your WLS phone angel!
