Well I did it! I still can't believe I'm home and banded. YEA! I know it's real though I have 6 scars to prove it. Yesterday was pretty ugly - I was in so much pain and couldn't help but wonder why I had done this to myself. The surgery took 2 hours but was a success. Last night wasn't horrible, I woke about every 2-3 hours to go to the bathroom and to get more Morphine. This morning I was in alot of pain again especially when they made me sit for awhile instead of lying down. Ugh! I went in for the Barium Test this morning which was pretty much a piece of cake - it was kinda cool watching everything go down on the monitor. All of my results came back good. I just got home about an hour ago and the first thing I did was take a shower. I still had Iodine all over me from the surgery. I am feeling better. They prescribed liquid hydrocodone - which is good, not as good as the Morphine but it does keep the pain at bay. Well I'm going to lie down now - I will write more tomorrow!

I'm so nervous but so excited at the same time. I can't believe the day is almost here - This surgery is all I can think about right now. I wish it was already done and over with and I was recovering in the hospital. I am fearful of the 'being put to sleep' part ... lol. My children are with my mom and dad, they are in good hands. My hubby has the next two days off to be with me. I have the support and prayers of my friends and family. It's a beautiful day outside - I'm ready ... so here I go - I will write as soon as I can.
