I was referred to the Bariatric Network in November of 2012. To my delighted surprise I was called the last week of February to come for an info session on March 5 2013. The dietitian said we will get a call in 4-6 weeks to come for our first set of appointments. The next day I got a call to come in the following week to meet my surgeon. Needless to say I somehow passed through all the appointments and testing needed and saw the surgeon again on May 16th.
It was a very hard process for me, as I am a very quiet person by nature. I don't really like to share things with strangers, I find it embarrassing sharing intimate details and as much as I know they are not there to judge you...sometimes it seemed as though they were. Needless to say, I am glad and so is my blood pressure that all of that is over with. I'm just a sitting duck waiting for my pre-op the day after my 29th birthday.
Surgery is booked for July 17th 2013....I can't wait !
