My PCP suxx!!!

Sep 17, 2009

I am becoming more pissed at my PCP and his staff everytime I have to round up another test result.
His staff has not cared one iota about keeping up with mine or my sisters medicare requirements tests, muchless the results of all the tests we did at their office, and asked the PCP to referr us for.
This is not right!!!   WTF is up with this???

Needless to say that after our surgeries are scheduled and overwith, (hopefully soon) we will be finding another PCP. One that might actually care about the patient instead of money for everytime we visit.
I have called them countless times since the surgeons office contacted me about my test results not being faxed in, and they ask what tests? Well we left a copy for each of our charts of the tests we needed to have for medicare to approve our bypasses. They cant even find these simple papers for either one of us!
WHAT TIME IS IT? DUHHH!
SOMEBODY KICK ME PLEASE... (preferably in the head)
I can only imagine that since Dr. Bakers nurse is calling me wanting these results, it is getting closer for date scheduling.
Yes this is a major stress factor, and no I am not smoking more that 4 a day. I light one take a couple puffs and put it out. I do this with all 4 everyday. It is just old habits die hard I guess. Gotta have that light em and let em burn thing going on. I am using the patch too, but mostly is the letting them burn a minute then put em out thingy going on here. I only take actually about a puff everytime I light up. I know I can stop this too. I tried straws... they melt!

Prayer for all of you, and myself.

Aug 16, 2009

Lord, give us the strength to conquer our minds,
And accept the new path in life you have pointed us in.
Help us to accomplish the challenges you have set before us,
so that we may become healthier and happier people.
I ask this of You for myself and all others
on this road with me...
                               Amen

Morning cigarette

Aug 14, 2009

I am not, repeat not having a smoke with my first cup of coffee this morning. I think I want one but I keep telling myself no.
As you know I am on chantix and was down to 4 a day, next thing is, things started happening with my daughter (Will tell yall about her sometimes) and I went back up to 8 then a pack day before yesterday. Yesterday I did good, and only smoked 9.  Yayy me!
So today I am not having first cigarette for the day, It has been on with my brain lol, I have been up thirty-five minutes and havent lit up. And it is usually first thing I pick up. I have been waiting for certain lengths of time between ciggys to test myself, and  get back to four a day without the morning ciggy so it will be easier for me to quit. I have to conquer my mind, and I am trying hard.
So lets all have some yogurt, and excercise ten minutes outside, mosquitoes allowing, oh crap! I cant set up my cloud yet, mom has to move her car first, and she is still sleeping, not getting up til 9 this morning. She only has to work a few hours today.   Guess I will ride my little bicycle pedal thingy in the house while I do some reading on OH!
                               Have a wonderful day yall!

Housemate moving out!

Aug 14, 2009

Well our housemate may be moving out.     I think we drove him crazy...    Lol. Well if thats the case, I am going to redecorate that bedroom, and put in a full size bed, and put my cloud walker in there so the arkansas buzzards (mosquitoes) will let me exercise. lol
Also that means peace and quiet for me during the day so I can concentrate on whats going on with my plans for a new me. I need to focus and cant because he wont keep his mouth shut long enough for me to read posts and blogs! Grrrr...

Todays plans

Aug 12, 2009

It is 78 degreese here in Arkansas, it feels good out now, but it is going to be humid today, so I plan on walkin on my cloud for about ten minutes only once this morning.  Because I have Cloie and she wants to walk too lol.
Today Bryan is bringing me a seated walker, so my mom and I can walk around the block when it cools off. Woohoo!  I have to have the seated one incase my legs cramp up on me. Boy do I hate that. Leg cramps n muscle spasms suck!!!
I am making baked pork chops with potatoes covered with fat free cream of chicken soup for supper tonight. Have already had my yogurt, and will have a sandwich for lunch.
Yall have a wonderful day, my computer will be down a day at least, the tech is coming today to fix my tower. Yayy now my speakers and keyboard will work.

Making Changes Pre-op

Jul 19, 2009

I have been feeling extremely weighted down and tired all the time. I have sleep apnea to boot, and wake up exhausted every morning. But since I have taken the steps to a completely different way of life , I have begun some small changes now.
Since it is so hot and humid outside, I go to the local dollar store and walk up and down every isle for as long as my legs can take it. Usually 30 to 45 minutes. I do this at least three times a week. If I poop out they have a bench inside that I catch my breath on. LOL
I have also started changing my eating habits so i will be used to eating small amounts (hopefully soon), after surgery. For breakfast, afternoon, and evening snacks I eat a six ounce container of non fat yogurt. (The Best Choice brand.)
Also I drink at least 5 ten ounce glasses of ice water every day.
Not only have these changes helped me feel less exhausted, I have lost about 8 pounds in the last month.
I have found some energy and am now able to rest when I go to bed at night.
