I have lost over 235 lbs total now. It has not been uneventful. There has been alot of highs as well as lows. Im enjoying the new me reguardless of the issues that I've been though. One of the major obsticals was my Gall bladder removal that happened about a week ago. I know I know thay say it can happen after rapid weight loss. I just didnt figgure it would happen to me. Much less the fact that one of those painfull stones would clog my liver making my surgery high risk and dangerous. I developed a bleed from the surgery. I have to say though that I am so glad I choose Dr. Rowitz to do the proceedure instead of the better hospital in the state. He did awsome. Now Im just waiting to loose all of my reminding skin of how I was.

According to the Doctor I have lost over 80% of my excess body weight. The surgen even asked if I would take pictures for them to present in their simanars. I agree of course. I am down from my highest weight of 384lbs to just over 172 lbs. I am now 1/2 of me. I also got my blood results today. Everything is great. I dont have to go back to the doc (well except for suport group) for a year.

Well im down 200 lbs from my HW of 384. I am as of today 184 lbs. I cannot remember when I weighed this little. I so look forward to seeing the end of this long ride.

Well I am down 165 lbs from my highest weight of 384 lbs.  I am now around 218- 219lbs. I am offically no longer the queen of fat. I am now the queen of excess skin. I  cannot wait to see what the next 6 months is going to bring.

Well It wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be. I arrived at the hospital at 5:00 Monday Morning. I got preped and wheeled down to surgery around 7:30 am. My RNY surgery took about 2 1/2 hours to complete. I came out of surgery and was taken into ICU (this is where I stayed for 24 hours). The hard part came after the surgery. I was in alot of pain but the morphene helped. I could not care for myself. In fact I had my first spongebath ever after the surgery. The next afternoon I went to a reguler room where I stayed for three days. I had a few supprises along the way. One of them being a second surgery. I had to have a central line inserted into a vain on my upper right arm. This is becasue 5 people tried to keep and get an IV started. My vains were either too small or had something else wrong with them. It took them 4 tries to get the central line in. It was so worth the pain. I didn't have to get stabbed anymore with needles after the line was in (other then in the belly). My poor belly has poka dots on it (it matches my arms). I didnt realize that I would have to have shots in the belly every eight hours to prevet blood clots. The shot were not that bad though. Walking hurt but that got easier too. I had to be on oxygen the whole time because my oxygen satuation kept dropping. Now I have chapped lips and nose. I had problems controlling my bowels the last day. I guess it was from all the gas. EEW. Now I am haveing trouble trying to eat. IDK how much and I have a low desire for it. I am so glad it is done and over with. All in all it was an ok exsperance. The staff took great care of me. I am so greatful for that.

I completed all the classes, tests, and medical clearances. I also got my insurance approval. I am now ready for surgery on Monday.

I offically finnished all my tests and am waiting for approval. All I have left now is pre-op and then surgery next monday.

Ok well alot has happend since I last updated. I lost my insurance when my husbend lost his job. This was so detromental. I could not go ahead with the surgery scheduled for March 22. I was able to obtain medicaid. Now my surgery is on April 26th. I hope and pray that this time this date sticks.

I finnished my physic eval today. All was well except he was worried about the fact that I am on Depression meds. He did approve me though. He just told me to keep up with my GP for monitering. I am about there and cannot wait.

After several hours at the hospital today I was able to meet with the nutrutuinsest to go over my post operative diet. I was also able to get my loodwork and Galblatter ultrasound done. The only things I have left is the Physic eval, Pre-op, and Insurance approval. My fingers are crossed.
