well i guess my story is like everyone's on this site..............i've been big all my life, but not always out of control......i guess my best year as a obese person was my senior year in high school, i was 250lbs. but in shape. i played football that year (offense, defense, and special teams. I literily did not come off the feild until halftime)........i was lifting weights at practice and after practice, and was running a mile per day.........i actually looked good.....i was a big guy but by no means sloppy. then life kicked in.......with money comes the opertunity to eat (managing at a steak sandwich shop didn't help).

Right out of highschool I started hanging out more with freinds, especially late night.......and ate, and ate, and ate........ slowly but surely i was getting a stomach, i have always had big thighs, but they got bigger.............and so it went.........today i'm 425bls..still mobile, thank God...but certainly feeling the effects (and seeing the effects).....luckily so far i have avoided diabetes, or any other major health problems.....other than elevated blood pressure.

so here i am waiting..and waiting....and waiting..........getting alll the tests done, meeting with the trio...(physc's, nutrionist, and physical therapist)......hoping i will get approved by my HMO :)............its been a long 3 year process, i switched insurers twice now to get to where i am with no gaurantees of course...........but Dr. Korman seems pretty on top of his game, along with his staff...so i think i'm off to a good start.
