4 Month Update

Sep 11, 2008

Well hello all! So officially, I am down 87 lbs. since surgery and 105 lbs. overall as of my 4 month surgiversary! WOO HOO! Not too shabby. So, hopefully I can lose another 13 lbs. by my 6 months so that I can be at 100 lbs. lost in 6 months. That would be awesome!

I'm feeling pretty good overall. I am noticing hair loss, but it's not too terrible. I HATE that everytime I brush my hair or wash it or anything that there are strands everywhere, but I can't complain too much overall.

I'm trying to be much better and more faithful about my vitamins and I need to drink WAY more water. I'm keeping in the gym. Trying to make it at LEAST 3 times a week. It's funny because I actually ENJOY working out now! What a rush!

It was so fun because at the gym the other night I got on the scale and for the first time in a LONG time, I got to move the little weight thing to the next lower 50 lb. mark. I was SO excited about that. I almost started crying. So officially, I am down to 249.5 lbs!!!

Weight/BMI/Blood Work Update

Aug 26, 2008

255- 8/26/08

Ok, so I know that Friday is my 4 months Post-Op, but I checked the scale at the gym anyway. And guess what? I'm at 255!!! WOO HOO. You know what that does??? MY BMI IS IN THE FREAKING 30'S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so excited. Even though the weight is coming off slowly, I am totally noticing a difference in my clothes and I feel pretty great.

And Dr. Coates' office called today with the blood test results from my 3 month follow-up. They say that everything looks good except my B1 looks a little low. I need to get better about my vitamins. Period. I did this to get HEALTHIER, NOT to let myself deteriorate slowly. But on a positive note, my Iron was actually NORMAL! Can you believe it??? ME??? Normal Iron (refer to Pre-Op posts and you'll understand!).

Anyway, that is it for now. I will put up an official post of Friday for my 4th month Post-Op.

3 Months Later...

Aug 18, 2008

So today I took the day off from work and instead of lying around being lazy, I decided to take the time to do some things around the house that I've been needing to do. One of these things was to go through my closet and get rid of stuff that doesn't fit anymore. Recently I've been putting on some of my clothes, looking in the mirror and realizing that I look really frumpy in them. So, it was time. Anyway, right before surgery, I had 3 pair of the same exact black pants that I used to wear to work a lot. They were from the Avenue, and I found a type that fit me well, so I bought 3 pair of them. Anyway, when I tried a pair of them on today to make sure... this was the result!

Weight Update

Aug 15, 2008

260- 08/15/08

This is only 2.8 lbs in the last 11 days, but I will certainly take it. According to the Dr.'s PA Diane, it is normal for the weight to slow down when you start working out a lot. So, I'm hoping that is what it is!
