I am stuck.  I guess I am eating more than I thought.  I teeter between losing 44 pounds and 45, to 46 pounds here the last couple of weeks.  

I need to get another jumpstart or something.  I have not been walking like I did a month ago or so.  But the last week and a half I have walked 30-45 minutes about every day.  Hopefully that will get it going down again.

On the bright side,  my daughter Heather is doing good at college so far.  She likes the classes and is excited about majoring in music education.  

A lot of others up there would rather party.  She is finding it a bit difficult to find a friend who just wants to have good decent fun without all the party scene.  

I am glad she feels this way.  I pray God will keep her close, and for all you who pray, I ask that you pray for her to find a good friend up there for  her to "hang"  out with.

I am going to be OK.  I cried a little when we left the dorm room after leaving Heather there late yesterday afternoon. 

I was alright last night when I got home because I was busy getting ready to go to my awards banquet for my 27 years of service award at my work. 

But I did cry a little this morning when I got up and she wasn't in her room to get up, and because I have been for the last few months making a 2 cup pot of coffee, and this morning I had to make 1 lonely cup. 

I got to work and my co-workers were so sweet and kept my mind occupied with other thoughts today.  Not to say I didn't think about her, it just wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.  I know I am going to be ok.

On the bright side I have lost down to 202 which makes a total of 44 pounds since August.  I am so happy with this I could scream.  I actually thought I may have gained this week,  the last 2 weeks have been hectic around my house, getting her ready to go, and the holidays just getting over, so we ate out quite a bit.  I knew I wasn't eating all of anything that I would order, but still eating out is much more rich and fattening than how I cook.  Anyway I guess I did better than I thought.  Maybe I'll be in the notorious "one-der-land" sooner than I thought.

Today I left my youngest daughter at college.  It's only about 45 minutes away.  But she isn't in my house right now.  I know she is fine, and I will be too.  I'll just miss her being here. 

I have painting to do in the kitchen, maybe I'll pass the extra time by getting back onto that project and finishing it.  I have gotten the top cabinets painted, but the lower cabinets are still not done.  It will probably take me about 1 good day to finish them.  Then I'll have to find something else. 

Well I know it is a few days past New Years, but I had not been on lately.  I have been getting my youngest daughter ready to leave for college. Sad for me and her dad, but yea!!! for her. 

Luckily she is only about 45 minutes away.  But still she won't be in my house anymore.  I will miss her so much.  She is a great friend to me, and is my walking buddy.  Her friend Jennifer had gastric-bypass surgery in November and she told me she would walk with me some.  So that will be fun.

I am down 42 pounds now and am so very happy.

Had my 3rd fill today.  Dr. Cook told me that I have the smallest band which is 3cc.  I found out including today's fill I have 1.8 cc in it.  I have officially lost 40 pounds.  My last fill was on November 16, I have lost 8 pounds since then. I am now at 206. That was going through Thanksgiving, and Christmas holidays and still lost.  I am so very happy with this band.  I don't even feel like I am on a diet.  I just eat less.  I feel so good.  I can't believe it is working so good for me. 

As of today, I have lost a total of 39 pounds since the surgery.  I started out at 246, and now I am at 207!!!YEA YEA YEA!!!!  I wanted to be below 200 or at 200 by Christmas, but that probably won't happen.  But that's ok.  I will keep on til I do get below 200 whether it is at Christmas, or after.  I am happy.

YEAAAAAA!!!!! No meds for now!!!!  My blood work was good.  My A1C test which shows how my blood sugar has been running the last 3 months was 6.0  which means that my blood sugar has been excellent.

My cholesterol was still up above 200 (211) but is down from the last time I had it tested and it was 239.  

So my doc says to go ahead and stay off my cholesterol meds too!!! I will need to come back to have it retested in March.  If it hasn't come down under 200 he will probably want me to start taking Lipitor again.  

But for now NOOOO  M E D S!!!!!!! I am so happy about that.  Plus my weight is now at 208.  HOOOORAAAAY.  I would like to be at 200 by Christmas but if not I still am doing great.

I am currently at 209, 37 pounds lighter than I was in August of this year.  I feel good!!!!!  I go to my PCP tomorrow, and will find out the results for my cholesterol, and blood sugar, as to whether I will need to be back on meds.  I am praying that the numbers are good enough to stay off of them.  I am so pleased with this lap band.  I know I could not have accomplished this weigh loss without the help of God and this lap band.  As I have said before, I don't feel deprived, so for me that makes it easy to not over eat now, and the fact that I get full with about a cup of food.  I am going to finally succeed at this weight loss thing.

Yea, my second fill.  It went great.  No pain, no problems.  I have officially lost 32 pounds.  I feel great. People are starting to notice that I have lost.  I love to tell them "yes I have", when they ask. 

Dr. Cook did the procedure in his office, no need to go to the hospital for the use of the flouroscope, he used the ultra sound in his office to find the spot on the port to inject.
