I got on the scale and weighed 335 I can not belive it. 15 more pounds and I weigh what my daughter weighs never thought I would see that day. I have lost a total of 135 since I started the program because I lost 15 lbs on my own. 123 I have lost since my surgery Sept 26th. Wow I never thought it would work on me I have been so big for so long.

Wedbesday I went to the doc for my 6month check up. I have lost 104 lbs since surgery. I am doing great. All my blood work was great including my iron. I am still eating a little over 1/2 cup. I can eat meats and veggies and I LOVE fruit.
I look so different I honestly have seen my refelction twicw in doors going into some where and did not know if was me for a few seconds.
I also walked into the docotrs at the hospital the other day and I usually had to have someone push me in my wheel chair. I am down to 348 fully dressed.

well that was fun I wrote all this and then lost it. I went to the Nutrtionists Wednesday and weighed 371 so my scale is very close to hers. This morning I got on with my nightgown and 2 pairs of socks and weighed 366 !!!!

Well I had my last appointment today with the dietician and she is turning me over to get an appointment with Dr. Clough.
I can't believe I am finally waiting for that appointment.

I have an appointment with Dr. Clough. I was amazed how fast I got the appointment. I am a little nervous it is all getting so close !!!

I met with Dr. Clough yesterday. He was so nice and made me feel so assured. He said it was more risky for me NOT to have the surgery !!
Things seem to moving fast now.

Yesterday I got my insurance approval letter. Today I got my surgery date Sept 26 at 7:30. I will have to get going eryly. Now I am so nervous I can't imagine what I will be like the night before !!!!!

Well a month from tomorrow is the big day.
Seems strange now I am not so worried about making it through the surgery just if i will have problems afterwards. So that is one psoitive thing. I am just anxious to get going and loosing and hopefully changing my life !!!!

I saw my freind that had surgery a year ago. Every time I see her she looks smaller. It is hard to think of all these yearsw of being fat i could be small like that!!! There is so much support at this site it really does help all of ua !!!

My daughter went to see3 Dr. Clough today so I went up with her. He said I looked familiar and I laughed and said well your going to operate on me next week. He had to check his appointments and he said yes I will see you there. I like him so much. I am getting so nervous and anxious and all the emotions rolled into one. If I didn't remotely kmnow one of the 2 people that died in Bangor during the surgery I do not thiink it would scare me so much. But then I tell myself look at all that have had the surgery and been fine. It's just I do not know what my family would do if something happened to me. Then like my daughter said at 458 lbs and 59 yrs old something could happen anyway with out the surgery.
Life is so FUN.

I am getting so nervous and wondering now is this the last time I will see or do something, mormid I know !!
Then the next minute I am so positive and thinking about my new LIFE !!Now I wish it would get here and get over.
My whole family and that is 10 of us all are going to be there for the surgery. We are a close family and I am the glue so it will be hard for them.

I cannot believe that my surgery came and went and so far I have had no problems. It is like a dream. I have lost so much already my family can see me melting. Dr. Clopugh was great and I have much smaller incension than normal. Mine is only about 5-6 inches. He kept telling me my surgery went so good it was perfect. Well I will write more later.

I am so amazed at the differences Iam seeing already. At present I no longer need to wear my "diapers" . I do not know if that will last but it is working now. Better for my self esteem !!
I do not know if this will last either but because I can get my legs closer together I walk different and it feels better. My fibro feels better. I keep pinching myself how can all this be after only ONE WEEK !!!

My inceision has split but so far it is staying un infected. Dr. Clough says it will heal and I am putting neosporin on it and bandageing it. I have lost 35 lbs. I am a little discouraged that I am weakish and not energy like that first week. But I think I was doing too much going in the car.

Sorry I have not added to this sooner. I sure felt overwhelmed in the begginning. It was hard to get all my fluids, protein I do not even come close but it is always on my mind. My incesion healed real good. When I went back to have him check it he said it would heal and it has. I cannot at this point tolerate any protein shakes it comes right thru me in an hour or so. I have lost a lot people can see it already and I sure feel it. I go Wed to Dr Clough and the nutritionists. I hope I can move onto like cream of wheat and 1/2 peice of toast and I hope I can tolerate them.
Went in the pool last night and it felt so good to get in the water and start my exercises.

I am doing so good. I can eat some of the lean Quasenes, ofcourse I can only eat 1/3 to 1/2 of the meeal. But I am getting variety. Plus I have lost 76 lbs since I started the program and 64 since surgery Sept 26th. I am still having a hard timegetting protein in but it is getting easier. I found a scale that weighs up to 400 lbs and it says I now weigh 394. I have not weighed in the 300's for 30 years. People really notice it now. The first 2 months are really rough. I am still having a real problem with constipation, even though I take stool softeners. But the rest eating etc is so much better !!!!!!

I am so tickled to be loosing this much. I never thought I would be able to. I still have head hunger and it is hard but I am dealing with it.
