Full 2 Weeks

 The Last 2 weeks has  been a full 2 weeks.  First I saw a Bone Dr.  He took Xrays of my back and my keens.  He told me that he could not do anything with me until I get some of the weight off.  I knew this but we wanted to see where I was with my back and knees.  He said once I get the weight off that he could do something with my knees.  My back should clear up after I lose the weight.  That was good news.

Then I saw my heart dr.  Dr. Broadwater saw me and we talked about me doing the surgery.  We also talked about the IVC filter.  He said that he did not do that but Dr. Blaney could find someone to do it.  He also was proud of me taking off 55 lbs before surgery.  He ok me for surgery and told me to come back after I had lost some weight and he would check me out and see if he could take me off my high blood pressure meds.

Then Wed.  I had an EGD done.  It was a piece of cake.  The nurses were great.  They explained everything they would be doing. They gave me a bag to put my clothes in and some socks to put on my feet so they would not get cold..  They also placed a warm blanket on my legs/  That was nice.  They then placed a IV into my arm so they could give me the med to put me to sleep.  Dr. Blaney was there and did the EGD.  He made me feel at ease about the whole thing.  Again they explained what Dr. Blaney was going to do.  next thing I knew they were walking me up telling ,me that it was all over with.  asked me what I wanted to drink.  I asked for coffee.  Getting dressed Dr. Blaney peeks over the curtin and tells me that I did great and it all looked good.  Then he said that he thought I had a date for surgery set that I needed to call and ask Brenda.  That made my day.  Got home and called Brenda but she would be off until Monday.  So I will be calling her on Monday.
