Fourteen Months......Wow!!!
Jul 21, 2009
My friends and family are proud of me and most importanly I am proud of myself. I took this journey 14 months ago and its the best decision I ever made. I would not change a thing. I didnt want all the ailments that my family members are suffering from at such a young age. Diabetes, high blood pressure, aches and pains that can't be explained. I didnt want that for myself. I just turned 39 last month and I feel amazing.
My journey has been without complications, but i did have a stall for 6 weeks, I figured my body needed to catch up to the quick weight loss, and get use to it. After that I lost weight rapidly. I am wearing a size 7 and loving it. I started this journey because I was sick, and needed help. I came to this site and asked questions, and got answers. I want to thank every friend i made and have on this site. I appreciate all that you've shared and given me.
I just found out tonight that my mother was told she HAD to have WLS, it is life or death at this point. I know its not going to be easy for her. But I will be there to support her. I hope she comes to this family and find additional support and love the way I did.
So this is my story for now. I am happy to have shared it with you and hope that you all find what you are looking for in threads of this site......because I sure did. I love you VSGers!!!

I can't believe it's been 2 months already! It came and went and I didn't even realize it. We have been so busy with our move that I didn't realize that I had lost 10 more pounds either!!! Yeah!! Wooohoooo!! I have dropped a couple of sizes and I am starting to see the weight loss in my hips and butt where it's the hardest to lose. My DH notices everyday, and comments about it everyday. I love that man!! My daughters are so happy with my loss. So when you stop thinking about the loss and just go on with your day and do what you are suppose to do as far as nutrition and supplements it will happen. So I'm very please and can't wait for more results.

Three weeks post-op
Jun 03, 2008
Well today is the second day of my third week and still feeling great. I am sitting here trying to figure out meals for myself since I am moving into soft foods, stage three. I want healthy choices, but also great tasting choices. I am going to make some egg salad, and chicken salad for lunch. Need variety. I am also going to set a couple of goals to accomplish before I have my 6 week post-op. Which happens to be on my b'day June 26th. I can't wait. I am looking forward to it. Not much else to really say except let me get to work.
