Hi Sharon, Merry Christmas. I love your profile and you look so beautiful in your wedding dress! I wish you much luck and success with your weight loss. I know it gets tuff, but just keep exercise as a part of your daily routine, like washing your face and brushing your teeth. Hope to see you at the essence festival in 2004.

Sharon, thank you for keeping it "real". I am pre-op and I learn alot from reading the profiles and your's has got to be one of the only ones that speak about the struggle with weight loss even after WLS. I'm sure there are many more out there struggling as well. I am so proud of you and your determination. That's what helps to make this all worth it...knowing that you are achieving what you set out to achieve. Congratulation and keep up the great work. You are inspiring more people than you could ever imagine!

Sharron, In todays 6/26/03 postings in the Q & A section, someone mentioned your page so I went and read your diary. I can understand your fusteration and yet admire your courage and determination to make goal. Just because people talk on here and say they play by the rules and they lose the weight dosnt always mean they actually played by the "rules". I mean the whole reason we had this surgery was so we didnt have to diet and what do we do after wls, we are still dieting technically. I feel you are a success regardless of how much weight you lose or weather you make it to goal. Your a success because you know whats right and whats wrong and you are willing to fight the good fight and go on and make the best of what you have with or without the use of your tool, you are continuing to lose weight and gain courage and strength. GOod luck to you Deanna Wise in Las Vegas, NV

Sharon I just read your story and I am really impressed at how you are still fighting and have not given up. Your story really hit home to me too because I'm 10 months post op and I weigh 210 now..down from 354. My weight loss has really slowed lately. I did just recently have an 8 pound loss but that was because I only ate ice chips for 5 days after having emergency surgery for a bowel obstruction. And people say this is the easy way, lol. While I was reading your story and how you got down to 215 and then climbed back up a bit to the 250's and 260's I thought about how my surgeon said we'd level out and then most likely gain a percentage back but still be so much less then we were. The thing is I guess we all hope we level out much smaller and then when we gain a little back we are still thin. I'm glad your posting so that many preops realize what a great tool this is but that it's also not a cure. You keep up the good work on that treadmill. Mine has been collecting dust. I did recently join Curves but because of my recent bowel obstruction I can't do that right now. Only walking allowed. Guess it's a good time to dust off the treadmill. Keep on updating gal!
