Hi Friends and viewers,
I am 1 week out today and doing fantastic. I am on a full liquid diet, and will be until tomorrow, and then I start on the soft food diet. Iam very excited to be learning how to eat all over again and to be putting those baby spoons and dishes to good use. I have lost 6 lbs since being home. There will be more to come =)

Surgery update.....

HELLO ALL!!!
Im on the losers bench now..... yaaaaayyyy!!!! . i Havent been on the computer like I said I would be, becausee I was sleepy!!! LOL........ I got sick with a feevr and worried people.. i am in a lot of pain, but thats my drain.... as far as pain fromthe surgery, None at all.... only a lil when I cough.... im on ice chips right now,jello tomorrow....I did 10 laps today... it does help with gas.... oh man I have alot... Dr. told me to cough and deep breath... It hurts so bad, but I am needing to because of the fever which was caused by the mucus he said... . Love yah

So I am sittng herre in the Plaza hotel right next to the hospital I am having surgery at tomorrow, and I am so ancious. I am so rready to go. I AM A BIT NERVOUS, but thats completely normal. i have heard that the hospital has internet access, so I will keep you all updated on how my stay is going, and how I am feeling. I am a bit tired, because I didn't get a lick of sleep last night, so I am going to get off of here and rest.... Love you all and please remember me in your prayers tomorrow!!!

I went and did my weigh in today at my PCP'S Office to see how much weight I lost on the liquid diet. I weiged 289 at Dr. Bakers office when I went in for the consult, and after 2 weeks on the HMR SHakes, I have lost 12 pounds. Its not a bad weight, but I would of liked to do better. But hey, I will have my time for weight loss soon... I am getting excited, and the nerves are starting to kick in. I will have my laptop with me at the hospital, so I will keep you all updated on how things go on my hospital stay. If you can, e-mail me at [email protected] I would love to hear from you all... It makes me very happy to receive messages... And if you want to, come on by and see me.... Id love the company!!! Love yah all....

HMR 800 Shakes

So I started my shakes today. I am on them for the next 13 days. They taste fantastic, and im absolutely loving them. Im doing the vanilla flavored ones for now, and I have 1 box of chocolate that I will try after the vanilla is gone. I have not even added any fruit to them, or any crystal light packages, and I dont think I am going to. They are very sweet though, and Im kind of wanting some salty taste, so I think I may have some broth. Only 16 more days til my surgery, and believe me I am counting down the days. I will do my best to keep everyone updated on my progress. I will post on the 6th to let you all know how much weight I lost on my liquid diet. For now I hope you all have a great week!

Hello Friends!
Im home now from a very long day at the doctors office and hospital today. I had my consult appointment today at 11 with Dr. baker where I met him, the dietician, and the nurse. They all explained everything in great detail to me, and Im much at ease now and very excited an ready. I got my shakes today for the liquid diet. I will be starting them here shortly. I got 3 vanilla and 1 chocolate. Im rerady to start them already. I also got all my pre-op labs done and am ready to have surgery the 9th of March. I got my nifty lettle breathing thing that I ve been playing with trying to reach the 2500 mark... Its hard.. LOL.... Looks easy, but its not! Other then weighing in at the office on the 6th, and sending in my records for data from my C-PAP, Im ready! I will keep you updated and will take plenty of pictures and post on here..... LOVE YAH

Hi Everyone!
So today I was in the middle of my anatomy class, and my phone rand. I was so embarassed. I walked out of class and called the number back. It was my personal contact person from my WLS Doctor. they told me that my insurance approved me for surgery, and that I would need to come in for a consult on Thur. 2/12/09. So, I'm very excited. Its finally time. I will keep you all updated in a new blog of how my consult went, and all the details. I have a lot of paerwork to be filling out, so Im going to get off of here. Toodles!

wow! What a week....

hi everyone,
So this week has been very Boring and stressful. We had a very bad ice storm here in our county. the ice is so heavy that it builds up on the trees and then they break. Well, they do the same thing with the powerlines. So Now, we havent had power for a week, and we have a huge mess to clean up with all the trees in our yard. I have been getting a lot of exercise these few days going outside and checking the roads making sure they are clear of trees and clearing our mailbox and everything else... I'm going to my PCP On Monday with my dad to see about getting the kit to do the hemmocults, so I can send them in to Dr. Bakers office. I havent got a call for a scheduled consult, so Im going to do m y hemmocults and send them in, and then maybe I can get that call.... Im really excited... I can't wait.... Well, I just wanted to update you guys on how it was going... Love you all and hope your week goes smoothly and fantastcly... LOVE

So, I now have all my paperwork sent in to Dr. Bakers Office and all my labs have been faxed to him, and I just can't hold my excitement in. I have been bugging my parents very badly... Nearly everywhere we go, The First words out of my mouth are "When I get skinny" .... LOL They are VERY excited for me too... My dad cries everytime he thinks about it. He knows its the best thing for me....
Well, I have to get off of here and write an essay thats due on Tuesday, and also have to study the elements of the periodic table...FUN FUN!!!!!

I have everything done.... I got all of my labs done today
(which by the way, I did all that worrying for nothing), and am just playing the waiting game. All I am waiting for is for Dr. Baker's office to call me and schedule me for an appointment. Im so hoping for February. Fingers crossed it will happen.
I will try and keep you guys updated as much as I can on here. My life is soooooooooooo crazy right now with college. I'm trying to get through Math...UGH!! Not my Favoriate subject at all...if it werent for math, Id be in the Nursing program already and well on my way to becoming a Nurse!
Anyways, I love you all and hope to see you all at a support group sometime after my WLS!!!!
