I was just writing to give an update on my stop smoking journey. Well my offical stop date was Monday the 22nd and I have been 2 complete days and on day 3 of no cigs physically I'm doing fine the Chantix is so helping taking the craving away but my mind still thinks of cigs all the time I be so glad when i get pass this stage it is driving me crazy (not literally) just when I do my daily routine and it is at the times that I would usally have a cig is when I have to find something else to do so I will not think about it so much it is so much work to try and reprogram your brain from something you have been doing for 19 years but I pray and I know there is nothing God can't take care and he will get me thru this just like he has gotten me thru everything else in my life. Well got to go I  will keep you guys informed of my progress.

Well I'm on a journey to stop smoking, I'm quitting because I so want the surgery and it is mandatory that you stop 2 months before surgery and also I really just need to stop smoking for my health. I started my Chantix this Monday and my offical quit date is Monday the 22nd I really believe this is it for the rest of my life. I have heard people say they enjoy smoking I don't know why but I have never enjoyed it is was a habit I picked up by mistake I started off doing it just for the head rush a friend told me it would be fun and I tried it and we would just have fun hitting the cig and watching the room spin at 12 yrs old that was funny until it became a happen and even then I just thought it was cool but the old I got I so regretted ever putting one to my mouth. But anyway just keep me in prayer and wish me luck on my journey!!!

I got to work this morning and found an email from Dr. Inman's office manager saying that they have scheduled me for surgery 11/26/08 and I was so overly excited and everyone in my office at work knew exactly what it was because they know I have been waiting for this day. Well I hope everyone's day starts off this well.

Today is a good for me and I truly needed the good news that I'm approved to brighten up my day. I lost my mother in law on Monday I know she is at peace and she is in a better place just been trying to keep myself together for my husband but I'm a true believer that there is no pain on earth that HEAVEN can't heal.

Well my paperwork has been submitted to insurance now I'm just waiting I'm scared and excited all in one but I have faith that it will be in my favor because I'm truly favored by our heavenly father.

This is a very tiring process I'm wore out I just hope my insurance approves the DS because RNY is not for me and after all the research I've done I know that for a fact.

But I'm about to leave work I will keep everyone updated about my surgery date.

The consultation was great long but great, I spoke with Dr. Inman and was informed that I would have to get cut open for the DS which is scary for me but I know God is not going to put me in and not bring me thru it. I have to get my medical records to her so they can sent the letter to the insurance for my approval I'm so excited that things are looking good for me. Oh, one thing that depressed me was that I have gained 12 in the last 8 months.

Okay guys my consultation is today and I'm excited that I have made it this far. Dr. Inman is a great surgeon from what I have read after doing some research I will find out today whether she will be able to do it Lap or Open I'm really hoping Lap because I don't want to be cut open anymore. Well I'm off to my appointment, wish me luck!!!!

Just thought I would say hi, and let you guys in on where I'm at in my process. Well I went to the seminar on Saturday 4-12-08 and I have actually choose my surgeon which is Dr Margaret Inman she is the only surgeon that does Duodenal Switch and I have decided that is best surgery for me. I'm about to call and set up my consultation with surgeon I will keep you guys updated on my progress.

Well just a quick update I have left Anthem and went back to the state I guess I can say the grass was not greener on the other side....LOL....

Well I go to my seminar on April 12th then I can make my appointment for a consultation with the surgeon, I will be so glad when I'm on the loser side. I'm pretty sure thens will move quick once I go to this seminar. I will keep you guys updated as I finally go all the way with the process this time.

Well a lot has changed I have moved on in my career I no longer work for the state, I now work for Anthem and I'm in the process of getting the ball rolling again on the surgery. 

I'm excited I have to attend a one time seminar on Dec. 6th and then I can schedule my consult with the surgeron of my choice which means I'm a step closer to being on the loser side. 

I will keep everyone updated with my progress!
