Good Afternoon everyone I thought I would drop a line or two about my progress on getting a date. Well have seen the dietician 2 times now and from March 24th to April 23 I have lost 8 pds I'm so proud of myself. I have my first visit with the psych tomorrow hope all goes well. I going to have to go now on my lunch break and it is over I will keep you guys posted as thing progress.

Well have started the 6 month program that is mandatory before my insurance company will approve my surgery. I have started seeing the dietician (she is really cool) and I have also started going to the support group meeting (another requirement) I really like going to these meetings because you meet so many new people pre and post surgery it is never a boring moment in these meeting. I have made my appointment for the psych evaluation (have to see the psych 3 times) well I just wanted to stop in and give an update on my progress with getting the WLS.

Well i went to the doctor yesterday to get the results of my sleep study I took 2-1-07 and the doctor said I have sleep apnea no question about it and that he would recommend me for the bariatric surgery, so I have to wait for that letter to come in the mail. I'm really nerve about having to use this machine while I sleep but I stop breathing so many times in the night I have to. The doctor said I have large tonsils and he also going to recommend I have those taken out as well sounds like fun. I was also weighed yesterday and I have gained 10 pounds in a month time I'm at 306 which really depressed me because I don't even know what I did to gain the weight. 

I have started my appeal process and now I'm just trying to get all my medical records and doctor recommendations and everything else I can get so I can get and approval.

Well it hasn't been all of a good day for me, first I had to go to my Great Aunt's funeral which was everything but fun, then I get home to find a letter in mailbox  from my insurance stating that they didn't approve my surgery so I'm mad, sad, and all the emotions you could imagine mixed in together. In this letter it states that I have to follow a supervised diet for 6 months, see a professional dietician, and keep a journal of all the food and excerise I get each day, plus I have to attend 18 support meetings within this time before they will consider me for surgery. well I have taken some meds for my huge headache so I'm going to lay down now, if anyone has any pointers for me please feel free.
