catching up...

Apr 12, 2011

well here I am, almost 9 months post op. what a ride!!!  There have been so many positive changes in the past 9 months, I am so thankful for this 2nd chance.

I am now wearing a size XL top and 12-14 pants...it feels so good to be able to go into "normal" stores and shop!
I went from a 46DD to 38D..the girls have suffered, but I am no longer 46 inches around!
My BMI puts me in the "over-weight" category, meaning I am no longer "obese"!
I work out 6-7 days a week and love it!
No more high blood pressure or pre-diabetes!
I started this journey at 315 and just today weighed in at 197.6, so I think I can safely say good bye to 200 land!
My body has transformed and I'm learning to accept the new me even with all the excess skin lol!

I love my RNY :)

update!

May 03, 2010

so its been awhile since I've posted...looking back on my last blog I can see how anxious and impatient I was.  Since then things have really moved quickly.  I submitted my info/packet to Dartmouth, was called a few days later, then went in for my 1st appointment.  Since then I have attended another appointment, set up the time for my pre-op class, and ta-daaa, am scheduled to meet with the surgeron on May 13th, wooohoo!  So once I meet with the surgeron, Dartmouth will submit all my info to my insurance then they will call me with a surgery date within a week.  I asked the Dr how realistic JULY was for surgery and she had no doubt that I wouldnt be in by then.  WOW! I can't believe how quick it has all moved along.  & as for my husband, because of his new job, he will have to postpone surgery for a while...he will not be able to get time off yet, but he will still proceed with the surgery once her earns some leave time.

so there it is..things couldnt be better.  I just have to keep being patient because its coming together & sooner than later

ughh, trying to keep my focus...

Dec 08, 2009

Lately I've been struggling to keep my patiences with this whole process.  I have so many goals for myself (& my husband) but getting there seems so out of reach.  We have slowly been checking things off the "to do" list, but no matter how quickly I check things off I am reminded that we still have to complete the 6 months of PCP visits.  This is very frustrating...I log onto this webstie everyday and see the success of all the WLS grads.  It makes me impatient and slightly annoyed...I know good things come to those who wait, but when will it be our turn? lol.  Everyone tells me "it will go by quick, time will fly" but again, I feel like it is soooo out of reach...ughhh
