My first impression of Dr. Miranda was that he is a very serious man. He care's about his patients. He answered all my question about the surgery. My impression of him has not changed. His staff has been nothing but friendly and helpful. Come prepared with your questions he will answer them for you. Dr Miranda made it very clear about the risks of the surgery as well as the benefits of the surgery. I rate him a 10. He has both surgical competence and bedside manner.

Dr. Alanis was God sent i promise. He is the best doctor i have had in a long time. He really cares about his patients. I have no complaints about him what so ever. He is the GREATEST!! He takes very good care of me and answers any questions i have. His surgical competence and bedside manner are excellent!! I have recommended him to several others who have had the procedure.

Dr. Alanis is a wonderful doctor. He has an exceptional bedside manner and a fierce dedication to his patients and their well being. I have never felt so improtant in a doctor's eyes as I did when Dr. Alanis was taking care of me. I would recommend him to anyone. He is knowledgable, caring, understanding, and honest.

I went thru Dr Miranda did my surgery dec 28, 2005. He came recomened from a friend of mine and I am glad I went with him. He is very informative and really took time out to tell me everything that I needed to know about the surgery. After the surgery he came into my room and actually sat down to talk to me. Not just walked in and out. He made sure that if I had any questions or concerns he would help me. The staff at neweigh was also very helpfull. They did all the thinking for me. They basically held my hand and helped me every step of the way. Sometimes it can get very overwhelming and they really helped me. I would recommend Dr Miranda to anyone who was considering the surgery.

1) My first impression of Dr. Miranda was that he is very serious about his work and will not take a chance with your life. Made me loose 20 pounds.
2) My impression of him has not changed. He impressed me so much with my husbands surgery and my surgery that he will be doin my mothers surgery.
3) Great office staff in Houston, Tx. They care so much about your health and keep in touch with you.
4) I think initially I didn't like that he was forcing me to loose weight or he wouldn't do the surgery. But it helped me in the end.
5)He is a wonderful man that cares alot about his patients and requires the family to be there every step of the way.
6) Well he puts great emphasize on aftercare .
7) He does have a structural program.
8) He let me know right when I first met him that you can die. But he also told me that he has never lost a patient.
9) On a scale of 1 out of 10, I rate him a 9 only because I think that God is a perfect.
10) I believe that both surgical competence and bedside mannner combined is very important for a doctor to have. However when you are under on the surgical table, and if I had to choose I would choose surgical competance because my life is at risk. My doctor had both.

I felt that he was a very compassonate
gentleman and that he truly wanted to help me. My impression of him has not changed he is the best!!
There was and is nothing that I don't like.
He is a very caring Doctor whom really loves his work and is excellent at what God has gifted him to do. He also is only a phone call away and he will never let you down.
Yes .
He was very upfront and everything was spelled out for me. There were no hidden facts all were presented.
I believe both .
You must connect with your doctor on all levels.

Dr. Alanis is very kind and his bedside manners are out of this world. From the first office visit to the day I was discharged from the hospital Dr. Alanis took GREAT care of me. The staff at NeWeigh seemed knowledgeable.
Dr. Alanis and the staff at NeWeigh was honest and clear about the RNY procedure with me. I was advised of the risk's involved but it was not done in a manner to scare me or my family.
After I had my surgery it was difficult to get a clear answer to my questions. Prior to the surgery I could call NeWeigh and get answeres to any question I had. After the surgery if my question was a medial question I had to call the Dr.'s office and if I had a general question that's when I would call NeWeigh. Sometimes the two offices would send me to the other to get a question answered.
My overall experience was great and I am down over 80lbs now.

My surgeon was so wonderful and very encouraging. He was caring and explained the procedure so nicely. The office staff was so nice and supportive, because most of them had gone thru the surgery and had alot to share and that was very helpful and enlightening.Future patients should be honest and feel free to call him anytime if you have questions, even if you have an emergency, and think you need his care after hours. He will return your call asap. They told me the normal risk of the surgery and I took the precautions. The overall rate is he is 100% the most excellent surgeon,I have ever had.I think he should be awared the no.1 Rou-eny Surgeon. He has Surgical expertise, wonderful bedside manner and the office visits were encourageing each time.
