I did a huge amount of research on WLS in my area and found it to be non personal and very factory like. I was very concerned about comorbidities including age and a blood disorder. A physician friend suggested Dr. Baranov. I was relieved and impressed from the moment I walked in. His entire staff takes the time to get to know each patient. They are prompt with any inquiries. Above and beyond is the standard for Dr. Baranov. He even did a post-op check on a holiday. I cannot recommend him enough.

I met Dr. Dmitri Baranov four years ago and began thinking of having the surgery at that time. I went through the seminar and 5 of the 6 months requirements and decided to loose weight on my own.
It was a real struggle and my mind set was not yet there. Now three years later, after a lot of soul searching and varying thoughts, I decided to try again. Dr. Baranov and his staff were very welcoming and helpful through the next six months process and while I was making my decision. I decided to go ahead with the surgery as I didn’t want a catastrophic health event to be my catalyst for change. It was important to do it on my own terms. They all helped me see the benefits, ponder the risks and kept me well informed along the way. Dr. Baranov is very clear on his expectation of his patients and is very kind in his treatment of us. I had the gastric sleeve surgery 3 weeks ago and I am doing extrememly well. I came home with no pain from the surgery or incision sites (this was done via laparoscopic surgery), and I was just uncomfortable with gas pains, which were gone by day five. I have no regrets, my mind set is on my health now and I am enjoying my new journey. Dr. Baranov was highly recommended as the surgeon to use for this procedure by all doctors I have been seeing for up to 20 years. They knew me andd my health issues and they knew him. It was a great fit. I would highly recommend anyone thinking about this surgery to contact Dr. Baranov and begin the process. We get to take our life back, we can have a much different relationship with food and we can be healthy again. By the way, I am 63 years old and felt it is never to late. Dr. Baranov performed my vertical sleeve gastrectomy less than a week ago. I already feel better than I did before surgery. He also did my husband's surgery three years ago, with great results. Dr. Baranov checks on his patients remotely and in person during their hospital stay. He also follows up with a phone call a few days after, so overall extremely good bedside manner. His directions for success leave little room for error and he clearly cares about the success of his patients. If you're struggling with the health implications associated with obesity and considering bariatric surgery, Dr. Baranov is the man to see.

Hello ! I just had my Gastric Bypass July 2, 2019, today is July 8th and I feel better and better each day. Dr. Baranov is a very caring and knowledgable doctor, as well as his entire staff. They are ready to answer any questions you may have during any stage of your weigh loss process. They were willing to work with me when setting appointments. Being a teacher they tried to set them over our calendar breaks. Not having to miss too much work. Not only is there support in the office but also outside in our community in the form of support groups before and after surgery. I did my research, Dr. Baranov is highly accredited and well reviewed. Now I have first hand experience of his personable care, dedication and expertise in the area of Baratric weight loss. Dr. Baranov has been wonderful to work with. I had been to 5 or 6 informational sessions at various hospitals in the region and never felt that it was right until this time around. Starting with his informational seminar, Dr. Baranov thoroughly explains surgical options and risks, as well as the conditions he requires to achieve the best possible outcomes. He also referred me to an additional specialist because of my health history, and came up with the post-surgical plan. I have to tell everyone! I am 6 days post up and feeling great! I am so happy I finally decided to do this. I started at 265 pounds and am now down to 244! Dr Baranov did my surgery, checked in with me before I left the hospital and called me at home on a Sunday to check onme! How many Drs do that anymore?? He's stern but funny. Follow exactly what he tells you to do and you will succeed. He is the best! I would recommend him to anyone thinking of doing this. ?
