I had gastric sleeve surgery with Dr. Alvarez and I couldn’t be happier with my experience. From the initial consultation through surgery and follow-up care, Dr. Alvarez was professional, knowledgeable, and supportive. They took the time to answer all my questions and made me feel comfortable throughout the entire process. The surgery went smoothly, and my recovery was well-managed thanks to their excellent guidance and care. I am very grateful for the positive impact this procedure has had on my health and quality of life. I highly recommend Dr. Alvarez to anyone considering bariatric surgery. The facility was a 10/10 everything was excellent as well as the staff.

Dr Guillermo Alvarez was the BEST! His Staff was the best! My Cousin & I had had enough with the Semaglutide shots- I was stuck at my weight and just could not lose the weight. Slowly began to gain it back. I began to give up hope of ever losing weight. A friend of mine had the Sleeve procedure in 2018 by Dr Guillermo Alvarez and highly recommended him. My Cousin & I watched hours of videos that Dr Guillermo Alvarez had made with his Staff - Fun videos and very serious videos. It was then that she & I BOTH decided to contact him. We reached out & got all of our information sent to his Nurse /Consultants. Brandi Carter was my Consultant- she is AWESOME! Full of information & very understanding. As Brandi had done it as well- a few years before. My Cousin & I were so happy to be able to go together & be each others support person. They took such great care of my Cousin & I.
I was Gastric Sleeve # 21,079 in this facility. My Cousin- #21,080. We were greeted by Staff and even though it was not a Vacation- it still felt like one to us. We took advantage of the Body Messages. We had no nausea and our surgeries were very low pain or next to none. We were sad to leave and we fully plan to see Dr Alvarez & his Staff on our Anniversaries this next February 2027!

I have waited to write a review, but only because the more time that passes, the more positive my review becomes, and I don't want to see it short.

It is five stars, and I suspect all his patients agree.

Everything leading up to the procedure was easy, and communicated by the doctor and his staff throughoughly, and things happened exactly how they are laid out. His vidoes on YouTube were something I watched both previous and post surgery, and provide a ton of info.

The facility was perfect, and for me, I was walking easily hours after my surgery, relatvely pain free. My weght loss has been steady weekly, and I am still losing.

I tried to be conservative in my expectations, thinking if I got to a certain weight I would be happy, and if I got to another level, I would be estatic. I have surpassed both of those goals and am working towards a weight I wasn't sure was possible.

I can tell you for the most part, I stick to the dietary guidelines, focusing on protein first, and limiting my calories. I exercise pretty much daily, and it has not felt like a punishment, but more like a part of everyday life now and something I can do to improve and maintain a new lifestyle.

Since a couple months before surgery to date, I have lost 150 lbs in just over 7 months. I no longer have to take several of the medications I needed prior to surgery.

I will tell you I looked at other doctors and facilities, and there is no doctor you will find that will be better than Dr. Alvarez. I remember pre surgery looking for hours to find a single bad review, and if there is one, I never came across it. That alone is astonishing, no matter how perfect a buisiness or person might be, there are usually a few people for one reason or another have an issue or conflict.

Yet there really aren't any.

It is also worth noting that in person, Dr. Alvarez is just as personable, genuine and caring for you as a person as it comes across in his videos. He will make you feel like a family member and not just a patient.

If you are looking for this type of surgery, and are not settled on Dr. Alvarez, then you are making a mistake or missing something.

There is no better doctor or answer. I am sure all of his other patients agree.

I recently had bariatric surgery and wanted to share my experience for anyone considering this journey. Making the decision was not easy, but it has truly been life-changing.

My surgeon ( Dr. Alvarez) and the team at Endohospital made me feel comfortable and supported throughout the process. They explained everything clearly and made sure I knew what to expect before and after surgery.

Recovery has had its challenges, especially adjusting to new eating habits, but I’m learning every day. This journey is just as mental as it is physical, and I’m still working through that.

Overall, I’m grateful I took this step and would encourage anyone considering it to do their research and be prepared for the lifestyle changes that come with it.

I wish I could give 10 stars to Dr. A and his amazing team of specialists. I have never been treated as well as I was from the moment I walked in the door at Endobariatric. You are the rockstar, the quiet hero, the one person they care about most of all... and they treat EVERY SINGLE PERSON the same way.

I started my journey at 292 pounds on Dec 1, 2025 and had my sleeve created on Dec 18, 2025 and as of this review I am now at 244.4 pounds and it is only March 18, 2026!

I feel like I have hit an internal reset button. I have so much energy and I am starting to become more and more active and I love life! I have a long way to go still but these first few steps are laying the ground work for a long and healthy journey.

I would not be where I am today without Dr. A and his staff. I love each and every one of them and they are now a permanent part of my life, my family!

My experince with Dr. Alvarez and his whole staff was 5 stars from start to finish. The support I recieved since I returned home has been first rate. Recieve a fast response to every email question and any other question. I would highly recommend Dr.Alverez to any one looking to have a gastric sleeve surgery. Whole facility is top notch from rooms to surgery and recovery rooms to transportion in and out of Mexico.

I cannot state this enough Dr. Alvarez is the best he was there to answer any and all questions I had he assured me that everything was going to be just fine and it was. I went in to this with not one bit of nervousness or fear. I highly highly recommend him to anyone who is thinking about having the gastric sleeve done. Just do it and get it over with you will not regret it. He is the best hands-down.

This has been one of the greatest accomplishments I have done in my life, I couldn’t have done it without Dr.A an incredible surgeon and person overall! This has been a long journey for me, from being at my heaviest , to loosing as much weight as I could to be even close to “healthy” enough for this surgery. I did my research for years and made a well thought out choice; All that work has paid off and the results are speaking for themselves. From booking my consultation to meeting Dr.A it was a breeze, prepping for surgery was a bit tough but to get great results you need to put the work in and I stuck to his pre op diet, even a bit before he told me to start. On surgery day he talked and cleared my mind with his kind words, everything was perfect and couldn’t have gone better. Recovery was almost too easy, I was up and walking within a few hours post op, even my scars have healed beautifully, nice and flat. Eating was something I needed to teach myself again, with the ebook I was emailed by Dr.A gave me the guidance I needed to keep myself going In the right direction. I have reached so many milestone since then and my life has changed for the better. I work out regularly and regained confidence within myself. If this is something you would consider, I’d say to go for it especially with Dr.A not only is he the best but very professional and caring. Full attention to each and every one of his patients, he loves what he does and with a passion. The Endohospital is so incredible and clean, it surpassed my expectations of a normal hospital.
