I went to see Dr Pearce on Nov. 1st and was very impressed with him. He talk with me and my husband, explained everything in great detail, he sent a video tape home with me of one of his seminars. I think his staff are wonderful also.

Nov,7th Had a appt. at Dr Grodes to see Bob for some breathing test, was told I have asthma but I already knew that lol, anyway I go back to see Dr Grode on Dec. the 18th for more test. And I was also blessed with a angel and her name is Angela Hinkle, Thankyou so much Angela for being my angel.

I first heard about Dr. Pearce while watching a story about one of his patients on the local news. I called the reporter who gave me his name and number. I made my appointment. I felt comfortable with him. He did not rush me through the appointment at all. He answered every question. I was very impressed with the way he anticipated questions in advance and explained things I have struggeled for years to understand about my weight gain. I could never understand why I eat the same amount as my thin friends and still get fatter all the time. He said I must be an absorber. I absorb more fat then others who eat the same amount. He explained the difference in big eaters and sweet eaters etc. I felt victorious as I walked out of his office after my first and only visit so far.
His staff is extremely patient and professional. Holly is the insurance person I met. I don't know who Darrel is. She has extraordinary patience. I have been anxious about getting my insurance approval and have called her more often than necessary. I have checked out United Health Care and from every thing I have found about them they don't require all the documentation that Dr. Pearce's office requires. That part has me puzzled. The doctors office is saying it is pulling teeth to get an approval and everyone on this site who uses United Health Care has said how great they have been about immediate approval. Nothing like the nightmares people have had with other companies. I talked to United Health Care several times and they are going to call Dr. Pearce's office on my behalf. They said it should be no trouble getting the approval. Dr. Pearce's office is waiting for documentation before they even submit anything to my insurance company. I have no doubt they have their reasons but if it really isn't necessary to go through all that to get approval I wish I could just get the approval and get my surgery date scheduled.

Dr Pearce is a very straight forward and honest man and you get that from the first time that you talk with him. He hosts seminars for prospective patients. They are extremely informative and last about an hour and a half. His insurance specialists attend and answer questions. They gave me very helpful tips on how to approach my insurance and what information that I needed to start assembling. Dr. Pearce has been performing WLS for 30 years but is not specialized and performs other gastric and intestinal surgeries.

Very impressed with Dr. Pearce. Has been in this feild for 30 and showed all surgury that he has done in the past that did not work. Showed the RNY surgury what would happen from being to end and how effective it has been compared to other surguries.

His office staff is very nice and will go out of there way to help and to make sure that all question concerning anything are answered. They will handle all the insurance promblems that you will come across and fight till the end to get your insurance to pay.

I am looking forward to having my surgury some time in Nov. I am still wait for my letter to come back from insuance.

My first impression of Linda Johnson was, she isn't like any other doctor. She is very understanding. She doesn't talk to you in a lanuage you don't understand. She is very open , and about the surgery, she tells you the facts.

She kind of left me in the air about the insurance part. For me it isn't medical necessary for me to have the surgery.

She told me to get a hold of the insurance company and see if they cover it and we will go from there. (she doesn't know I'm a insurance dummy) LOL
SHE DIDN'T EVER TRY TO HELP ON MY INSURANCE COMPANY. TO HER SHE DIDNT REALLY CARED IF I GOT THE SURGERY OR NOT.

I HAVE A DOCTOR. DR PEARCE OF EDMOND. I HAVE A DATE FOR A CONSULT ON THE 4 OF SEPT.

Henry Pearce is an excellect doctor and surgeon. He has performed surgery on me before, so when I found out he did bariatric surgery I was thrilled!
His office staff is wonderful and extremely helpful.
All I can say with being in the medical field, is that a lot of doctors suffer from burnout after 30 years of practice... NOT HENRY!!! he is a real trooper with a TRUE LOVE for surgery and medicine.

I was impressed with Dr. Pearce.

My impression improved during our initial consultation.
His office staff was pleasant.

I did not find any faults in Dr. Pearce.

Dr. Pearce was very informative in the proposed gastroplasty that I would like to have. Dr. Pearce advised that aftercare (postop) is extremely important, yes he does have a structured program.

Dr. Pearce informed me of every possible situation that could happen during and after my surgery.

I would rate Dr. Pearce on a scale from 1 to 10 (10 being the best) 9.9

Surgical competence wins, hands down....

Dr. Pearce was informative and offered my information to read during my own time. He has a very positive outlook on the surgery and the posibility of getting approval from my insurance company. His office staff is friendly and really set my mind at ease after talking to them. They are compationate to my needs and treated me with respect.
I only wish this process didnt take so long (thanks to the insurance company!!) It is a shame that what the doctors recommend - the insurance companies have to question!! What ever happened to the days where the doctor was treated as a professional and his opinions were NOT questioned? Sad huh! One could die waiting for the insurance and the doctors to quit fighting!!

My first impession was...what a wondeful doctor and staff!!! Everyone was so freindly and full of information. I learned alot at our first meeting and he and his staff were always just a phone call away if I had more questions. I am waiting to hear from my insurance company now so who knows how it will go from here.

Dr. Pearce is a dedicated professional. I would
not hesitate to recommend him to others.

Dr. Pearce is an excellent general surgeon who
also happens to do the RNY bariatric procedure.

All things considered, I think that Dr. Pearce
is the best for RNY surgery in the state of
Oklahoma.
