James Colberg Bariatric Surgeon M.D., F.A.C.S.

I think dr colberg is the best allaround dr i
have ever met . very caring and nice.pat is great .i dont mind the long waits.just make sure u listen and do what he tells you . iwas very depressed after the surgery
for about 2 weeks.Iam now the biggest convert to this surgery and believe nobody should be fat

Had my initial consult. Doc was very caring. He has a dry sense of humor, but it was still enjoyable. Even though the office was running almost 1 hour behind in appointments, there was no pressure to "get rid" of me. He explained the procedure well and allowed me to ask questions. He would rather have your more specific questions after your preop, but that is fine. I recommend Dr Colberg to anyone. He was even a little shy when I told him that every one of his patients on the websites loves him. He says he doesnt read "those things" and was somewhat embarrassed. I believe to be in good hands with Dr Colberg.

I think Dr. Colberg is probably the best Dr. I have ever had for anything. I found out about him through this site. He takes all the time you need to answer any questions you might have. He goes over everything you need to know pre and post op. He gives you a list of his post - op patients with their phone number so you can call and actually talk to someone who has "been through it" His office staff (Pat) is just as wonderful as he is. There can be a long wait but trust me its worth every minute.

Dr. Colberg is a very caring individual that has the best interest of his patients in mind. He is not one to rush into anything, and makes sure you know all the bad/good sides of the surgery. He takes his time in explaining the surgery, and makes sure that you understand every aspect. From the very start I felt comfortable. He has a unique sense of humor, and is very sincere. I have not found anything that I do not like about him.
I would recommend Dr. Colberg to anyone and I rate him excellent!

My first impression of Dr. Colberg was how sensitive and compassionate a man he was. Dr. Colberg is also a very passionate and experienced surgeon who has a positive and caring attitude. I felt extremely comfortable dealing with him and his staff and I would recommend him to anyone.
Dr. Colberg judges no one and only wants the best for his patients. He is a sincere and warm doctor.

Dr. Colberg was wonderful. On the initial visit, he was very clear and informative about the surgery, recovery, life/eating changes and insurance coverage. He was very understanding and caring. Pat, his office manager, was very helpful. I would rate the whole experience (pre, surgery and post) as extremely positive. I would highly recommend Dr. Colberg. it may be important to note that the hospital(Thomas Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia) was great. Everyone was kind and caring.

1) Great, he was understanding and know how I felt, and what I was going through.
2) Still great, he feels like a good freind.
3) Pat is OK, she is quite but works.
4) Nothing.
5) Cares about you, but has done this a lot and you need to ask him questons and keep him informed. If you do not tell him, he will not know to help, and He assumes if you are quite you ae OK.
6) He has been very helpfull, to date he has had all of the answers to my probelms and ?.
7)You know all the good and bad before you comment. He even test you on it.
8) Sits on the right hand of god.
9) BOTH Great, overall very happy with Dr. Colberg.
If I had to say anything to improve, he could ask more questions rather than wait for you to., and he is way to nice, no one can be that god at everything and have a nice pleasing attitue, but he sure seems to.
Don..
