When I first met with Dr. Rogers, I felt as though I was just one of many people to hear his speech about WLS. It was obvious that he had given this consultation speech 1000's of times. I was a little put off by the whole factory aspect of the hospital.
Now that I am post-op, I couldn't have asked for a better surgeon or better after care for that matter. I have had no complications from surgery and even though Dr. Rogers doesn't get too personal with his patients, he is caring and wants you to do well. I have had many medical professionals comment on what a nice clean incision Dr. Rogers made, and that I shouldn't have too much scarring.

I thought Dr. Rogers was a very informative doctor. he explain the surgery very clearly.his staff was friendly and helpful with handaling my insurance, I was approved in 2 days.

Dr. Rogers is pretty quiet but very thorough and tells you exactly how it's gonna be..he's right to the point and I like that about it. After going through surgery the first time and him finding the spots on my liver...he didn't do the surgery. He did a biopsy first to make sure there was nothing wrong..he is very cautious. He takes good care of his patients. So now I'm going back Feb 18th for the second surgery and excited that Dr. Rogers is going to do my surgery.

Dr. Rogers seemed very professional and gave me a lot of information telling about the benefits and the risks of the surgery. He also made it clear that I needed to be committed to this lifestyle change. The office and staff were courteous and effecient. All this being said, Dr. Rogers was quite serious during our time together. Personally I'd like to see him a little more light-hearted but understand personality is not what makes a great surgeon, skill and committment does. Dr. Rogers has been doing this surgery for many years and I am confident that I'm in good hands.

Dr. Rogers was very cut and dry; he tells it just the way it is! He explains the procedure...what is expected of you and what will happen if you do not use this "tool" correctly. He did put me at ease and I felt comfortable asking questions.

Dr. Rogers is very conscientious about explaining the surgery. Unfortunately, he doesn't seem to have much of a bedside manner.

I first saw Dr. Rogers in the lobby of the medical center. I was very impressed that he took time to speak with several patients. I happened to be sitting next to the mother of one patient. When she asked who I was seeing, she told me how Dr. Rogers was so helpful and wonderful to her daughter.

In the consult, he was very direct. He didn't 'pussyfoot' around but got right to the point of describing the surgery, etc. He asked if I had any questions, but as I have done much research and as he was most thorough, I could not think of any questions.

My only disappointment was when he told me it would be at least 2-3 months before I would get my surgery date. (I wish the BTC rep had not led me to believe I would be able to get the date during my winter break.)

I am confident that Dr. Rogers is a capable and skillful surgeon.

My first impression was a good one about DR Rogers he is very forward in letting you know what will happen and if you do not follow the diet and what he says the surgery will fail he does not cover anything up for the most part i have had a very easy time getting all the info together to get this surgery it took me about 1 week to get approval from my insurance when i ran in to some problems in the beginning the vice president of the bariatric center called me personally i was very surprised he is a very kind man so far i would recommend the bariatric center to anyone that is close to the ypsilanti Michigan area i should be getting a surgery date soon i am excited but scared i guess we walk before we run and i can not wait for the day i can actually RUN

He was nice, He is bold, the staff was very nice, but also seemed to come across as wanting to make sure that I knew this is a serious thing. But I'm aware of this.
