My first impressio of Dr. Oh, well it was hard to understand him due to his accent, and he had a tab bit of humor, and he explain things completely so I understood the surgery completely.
After seeing him the 2nd time, I could understand him alot better.
The office staff was great, every time I called (and I called alot) they were very helpfull,, Sherry is a gift to that office, she is so full of information.

Dr Oh came highly recomended to me. Even doctors say he is the best in the business. He had a zero mortality rate until this year. He's been doing this surgery since 1985. That is some kind of record I'm sure. He is very through explains everything including what to expect, the different types of surgery, so you can decide what you want. He also goes into all the risks involved and the negative possiblities after surgery such as gas, diaherra, and nausea. I not only repect him but I like him as well. He genuinely enjoys helping others. His office assistant has had the surgery and is very helpful with supplements and to answer questions. You can order supplements from different people and have them dropped off at his office so you can pick them when you come in for checkup. I would defintely recommend him to anyone. I did not have to follow a pre-op diet, nor did I have to drink uggy stuff the night before.Which was great. The only negative thing I can think of and that depends on you I do not see it as a negative thing but some people might and that is he is very serious. He may crack a small joke once in awhile but he really is focused on the problem. I noticed after surgery he was more relaxed and joked around some especialy at my one week check-up.

My first impression of Dr. Oh was very positive. I had already heard a lot about him so I knew he knew his business I just didnt know he knew it THAT WELL. lol Dr. Oh is a no nonsense Dr. You follow his instructions to a t and dont deviate. His office staff are very knowledable too. In fact Sandy, his office manager has had the surgery herself so its not like no one in the office dont know what youre going through or about to go through. She too is very helpful. Dr. Oh has SUCH an after surgery program its one of the best in the nation I do believe. He has someone who also has had the surgery come in and talk to you about nutrition after surgery. This is so very important for all of us. I read how people have lost hair, etc. after surgery. I for one have not experienced any of these symptoms. I think my surgeon AND his staff are top notch. I would recommend them to ANYONE and have. He has saved my life. I owe him so much. I know he is in my life forever and I am happy for that.

I have not met Dr. Oh yet, but would HIGHLY recommend his staff!

I have met Dr. Oh on two occasions.. He seems to be a really nice person... His office staff is wonderful.. The only think that I didn't understand is that there office was too crowded and messy, but that is cause they are really busy.. Sherri is the office manager and she has had the surgery done by Dr. Oh, and she looks very good.

Dr. Oh will explain the surgery and also your choices.. So, he gives you the option to choose what procedure you are wanting.

I've chosen Dr. Oh and all I have to say about him is that I think he is wonderful. I actually made him laugh, and he made me laugh. It seems like he really knows what he is talking about, and really truly cares about us and what we're going through. He is very concerned w/after care and makes you promise that you will take supplements for the rest of your life. His staff were extremely helpful as well. It's really nice having someone in his office who has had the surgery. It makes it seem more real!! And she is great. I will hopefully know at the end of July if I'm approved by my insurance company or not. Please pray for me.

I met Dr. Oh, he has a professional deportment with a little humor. He is very good at educating you about your options. Dr. Oh was also good at describing the risks, the after conditions and the long term results of the surgery especially about describing the weight gain that occurs after a few years.

His office is small but efficient and his staff are really supportive and helpful.

Very professional, wants you to understand everything about the surgery and what you will need to do afterwards to make sure you can and will do what you need to do. Sherri in the office is great and very helpful.

Have decided to go with Oh. Since I'm in Fairbanks, Alaska and he's in Washington, have not met him yet. Only talked on the phone with Capri (what a neat name!), and she seems very helpful. Capri has left the office and now a very nice girl named Sherri has been so helpful. She also had the surgery and went from 350 to 165 I think. Oh was very efficient and I was prepared in knowing that his bedside manner leaves a little bit to be desired. I'd rather have a great doctor who is a little abrupt then a so-so doctor who is overly charming. He cracked a joke about the throat-numbing spray-says it tastes like banana-rotten banana! At my office visit I learned more details about the rny. He needs to learn more about the benefits of breastfeeding-I fully intend to continue after surgery b/f my 2 1/2 yr old. I will pump and discard the few days I'm on heavy medications. I've visited with women who have b/f and we, as big women, can continue to b/f after this surgery as long as we maintain our fluids.

Dr. Oh has been great. He tries to make sure that we understand the surgery and what will happen after. The office staff is wonderful also. The Office Manager was a patient before she started working for him. She is a great help! I have been getting the run-around from my insurance company and the staff at Dr. Oh's office has been understanding even though I am calling them almost every day.
