Dr Oh has been very profesional since day one. I have found him to be very open and honest. He may come across a bit blunt to some, but I feel that being honest is more important than saying something to just make you feel good, especially in a major surgery situation.
His staff has been through a few changes since I began seeing Dr Oh in September. They are a little understaffed at this point, but are getting the job done.
Dr. Oh works with a former patient, Michelle who helps us with post-op questions concerning nutrition.
Dr. Oh went over all the risks of this surgery with a fine-toothed comb explaining all major and minor complications that could arise.
I would highly recommend Dr. Oh to anyone considering this procedure.
I have all confidence in his surgical competence.

I was very nervous going to meet Dr. Oh. He seemed pretty distant at first but then when he was explaining the different types of RNY, his sense of humor came out and I immediately was glad I chose him. He schedules 2-3 weeks out so once I get approval, I won't have to wait too long. Let's just hope his schedule stays that way! He was very thorough, and I can't wait to go back.

Dr. Oh is wonderful. He came in twice a day to see me and was very nice.

First impression was not very good. He is very straight forward and likes to answer questions in an abrupt way, doesn't like to go into details. After my second visit I found that that is just what type of person Dr. Oh is, and if I wanted to know details, then i'd have to be persistant about getting them. Dr. Oh's office staff consists of 1 person, and she does the best she can with what she has. One thing Dr. Oh did make sure I knew going into this was the risks, he was addiment about that. Since i've only seen him twice, that's really all I can say about him at this point. I see him for my pre-op appointment this Wednesday April, 25.

I have chosen Dr. Ki H. Oh, as my surgeon. I really like Dr. Oh, and his office staff- Kathy! Dr. Oh is a bit of a “no- nonsense” person, but I like that. He really wants to make sure that you are a “good” candidate for surgery before he has you on the operating table, and I really respect that. I believe that he is the most qualified person to do my surgery, and that is the most important thing!

Dr. Fox is a very nice person. Too bad I can't use him. I haven't met Dr. Weber or Dr. Oh yet. There staffs are very nice though. I met Dr. Oh finally and I think he's great. He seems to understand and he's very informative. He told me the BAD stuff too. Dr. Fox didn't really go into the bad things that can happen to you. I need to know everthing to make an informed decision. He emphasizes the need for your after care if you want to maintain your health.

Dr. Fox and his staff seem wonderful and very caring at the meeting. There is a special place in his heart for women like me that I know he understands. I have called his office several times and they are always polite and willing to take the time to answer questions. The meeting was very imformative and I like that he has a support group.
I found out that my insurance won't cover Dr.Fox but will cover Dr. Ki Oh. I was so excited because I found out that he has assisted several times with Dr. Fox. My primary care physician is Dr. Fajardo. He is wonderful and very caring. The lord is with me.
I met with Dr Oh and he seems very confident about his surgery skills which makes me feel good. He was very thourough with the proceedure and went over it a great deal. He took his time with me and answered all my questions. I am glad I chose him. His secretary Cathy is wonderful. She does the scheduling and is so understanding to all my fears and questions. Dr.OH at first seemed hard to talk to,don't let that scare you away, after you see him a couple of times you understand how much he cares for his patients. He is very strict about his nutrition suppliments and vitamins, which tells me how much he cares because I have never meet a doctor educated or who even cared about vitamins. He goes over them throughly and has you see a lady names Michelle Curns, also known as the Vitalady. She was wonderful, went over everything. She has also had the surgery so she can answer all your questions and fears because she has gone through it.

I have been to 4 of Dr Fox's meeting in
past 5 years. I have met Dr Oh at a couple
of those meetings. When I went to his office
last night I expected him to be impersonnel
from some of the things I have heard. I was
very pleased that he has a nice sense of
humor. True, he gets right to the point,
very matter of fact. He put me at ease
totally. I have been worried sick about
the surgery, yet I feel 100% better after
talking to him. I know I can put my life in
his hands. He is the Dr that works with Dr
Fox and Dr Fox will be his assistant in
my surgery. I can't wait to get this done!

I really like my Dr. I only wish I was still able to be his patient
I liked him more the more I got to know him
I got along very well his staff
I found that Dr Oh was not as strick with weight lose as the other Dr.s have been in the past, as far as saying something about not loosing enough weight each month, but then what is "enough"?
I have found that Dr Oh is so very perfessional and goes ONLY by the book.
Support groups meetings with his partner
I saw him every week for a month then every other week for a couple of months then once a month for a year
We talked alot about risks
I would rate him in the highest regard
Dr. Oh does not have the greatest bedside manner, but the rest makes up for more then he's lost

I had a distal gastric bypass done by Dr. Oh in August of 1998. I lost from 300 down to 159. I found Dr. Oh to be a wonderful person. He has been able to tell me what I needed to know about myself and the surgery. I have had no trouble understanding him, and am confident in his surgical abilities. I have since had emergency gall bladder and bowl obstrustion surgery of which Dr. Oh did the surgery, and found him to deal with me and my family in a wonderful way. I also have had a Tummy Tuck, a bladder repair and 4 hernias fixed in November of 1999, again with wonderful care from a wonderful doctor. I also found his nurse Lisa and his receptionist Carol to be ever so helpful to me and my family for anything that I needed to know. I would send anyone I know to this competent team, Dr. Oh, Lisa and Carol. I also have known Dr. Oh to be a team player with Dr. Ross Fox of Tacoma finding all of them to be extrememly competent surgeons in their field and beyond. Dr Oh's and Dr Fox's insistance on taking protein has helped me to maintain my health. My labs have been great since I have had surgery. I no longer have diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, or high triglycerides, of which I suffered prior to my gastric bypass. I can walk 5 miles a day and do all the things that a 55 year old woman in good health should be able to do; work, play, and have fun in good health.
