DR. IGBAL WAS VERY STRAIGHT FORWARD AND HONEST. HE DIDN'T PULL ANY PUNCHES & HE TOLD ME WHAT I HAD TO DO, AND IT WAS HIS WAY AND THAT WAS IT. OVER THE NEXT YEAR , I SAW A SOFTER SIDE TO HIM AND I COULD REALLY UNDERSTAND, WHY HE WAS SO HARD ON ME IN THE BEGINING. HE WANTED ME TO DO MY BEST. ALL OF THE OFFICE STAFF IS GREAT. WE MAY NOT SEE EYE TO EYE ON EVERYTHING, BUT WHEN THE MESS HITS THE FAN, LOL, THEY WERE THERE TO HELP. THANK YOU TO JUNE & KIM. I CAN ONLY SAY THAT THERE WAS A LONG WAITING PERIOD IN THE OFFICE, AND THAT CAN DRIVE YOU CRAZY SOME TIMES. PLEASE DO NOT EXPECT HIM TO SUGAR COAT ANYTHING ABOUT THIS SURGERY. HE WILL EXPECT YOU TO PUT IN THE WORK THAT IS NECESSARY TO GET THIS SURGERY DONE. THIS IS A MUST--IF YOU PLAN ON LOSING WEIGHT YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW UP WITH HIM BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T... EXPECT HIM TO CALL YOU. OH, YES HE DOES,AND YOU ALSO HAVE TO ATTEND THE SUPPORT GROUP MEETINGS EVERY MONTH . HE ALSO TELLS U EVERYTHING AND ANSWERS ANY QUESTIONS YOU MAY HAVE. HE IS THE ONE WHO INFORMED ME ABOUT GOING ONLINE TO OBSEITY HELP.COM. HE ALSO WAS WILLING TO LISTEN TO ALL OF MY CONCERNS. I THINK HE IS THE BEST!!! I WOULD GO THROUGH THIS ALL OVER AGAIN IF HE WAS MY DR LOL, HE HAS A GREAT BEDSIDE MANNER, AND HE KNOWS HIS STUFF AND HE GENUINELY DOES CARE ABOUT ALL HIS PATIENTS(HE IS THE REAL DEAL). THANK YOU DR IQBAL FOR HELPING ME BECOME THE PERSON I ALWAYS WANTED TO BE... JUST A BETTER ME.

Dr. Iqbal was super respectful and sweet to myself and my daughter. I felt I was in very good hands, and his track record preceeded him. He performed by hubby's surgery two months before mine so I was already aware of his bed side manner and his witty professionalism.rnrnMy daughter said she wanted to marry him when she grew up. She has good taste. rnrnLisa

Dr. Iqbal's office is antiquated, and small.rnIt is not fat person friendly, i always have tornsteal a chair without arms from an examinernroom to sit out in the waiting room. He has no scale to weigh people over 400 pounds. rnThe first time i met the doc was on a july nightrnin '06. My hubby and i were coming from the atlantic city area up to bridgeton for this appt. and we got terribly lost. the woman who answered the phone wasn't rattled that it was nearing 8pm. she just said, come as soon as you can. we walked into the office, and it was empty, except for the doc and receptionist. he was a tall man, with salt and pepper hair, very classy looking and smiling. we apologized for our lateness, but he brushed it aside, and we got down to the questions. he gave me some information and told me the steps to walk to start my wls journey and didn't rush us out of the office. he assured us we could ask anything, and we did. rni had 3 surgery dates for wls within that year. each time i got my final pre op testing, something came back from the labs and had to be addressed. i had extreme anemia, high white blood cell counts, my blood sugar levels were high. when i talked to the doc about these things, he assured me he didn't want to do surgery unless my tests came back just right. he wanted me healthy before i had any surgery done. i respect that. i didn't want to run any risks of post op complications. so i complied with his mandates, and went about getting healthy before anything else. rnit was tough on me and my family to wait this long, but through it, i spoke to Linda and Kim the young women in Iqbals office who handle wls. they always took my calls, and always assured me that they were concerned but when i was ready, i would be given priority to get a date right away. they are the best! rnkim is a post op of dr. iqbals, and she looks beautiful. doctor iqbal called me on the phone himself to see how i was doing durning that waiting time. i was very flattered to know he wanted the best for me.rnwell, over a year later, i had ROUX EN Y on july 30,07. i've lost 60 lbs at this point, todays date is 10-1-07. rnwhenever i follow up with the good doc, we talk a little about why he works so hard, and how can he do this much wls. what he said is going to stay in my mind forever. he said:rnhow can i not keep working so hard when so many people ask for my help? he is an amazing man. i went to 2 other bariatric centers before coming to dr. iqbals. one was in my local area, and one was in lancaster PA.rnthere is no one as excellent as dr. iqbal.rnthanks doc!!!!

What can I say about Dr. Iqbal. He is the best. From the moment I went to his office for a consultation I knew he had to be my surgeon. He never rushed any of my questions and he's always explained things in terms us \"normal\" people understand. He's always there with a smile or a joke. His staff is incredible. They've never made me feel like I'm bothering them when I call. He does insist that this surgery relies on teamwork and he vocally insists on you keeping your end of the bargain. He never balked when I asked about risks or mortalities or anything. He's very honest about the whole process. When someone asks about my surgery, I pull out his business card and start rambling. He's the best!

For my revsion I am going with Dr, Iqubal, no offense to Dr. Pasu, however I felt that Iqubal listened to me more, but Pasu is a fine surgeon too!rnrnEverything went fine with my surgery. The revision was much smoother than the original. Iqubal is a man with a gift and truely cares about people. Wonderful combination of sugical competence & bedside manner!rnrnDr. Pasu was very impressive. I had some trouble breathing after surgery & the doctor was very concerned! His work is obviously very important to him and ut shows! Highly reccomended

Wow, what is there to say other than Dr. Iqbal is a wonderful, caring and educated person. He knows what he is doing and wants everyone to be successful. He answered every question I ever could have asked. I think I would have chickened out from the wls had he not been so caring. I was very impressed by the way he was quick to answer my question and impressed by the way he wanted to make sure I was educated, myself, on the wls. He is a wonderful surgeon and I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone for anything.

My first impression of Dr. Iqbal was that I probably wouldn't be able to understand what he is saying to me. But as I walked in his office, his staff was very friendly and courteous. I have actually gotten to know all of his staff on a first name basis, and we have a good time catching up on my weekly visits. Since I have been seeing the same doctor for two years, for a different medical reason, and I decided to have him perform the Gastric Bypass on me, our relationship has gotten much more personal through these years. I trust this man and his staff with my life, or I wouldn't be letting him aid me in this new life. This man has the bedside manner of a saint. I always joke around with him, and he is always there with a smile and a hug if need be. rnFor any future patients who would like to have a chat with him, please, call his office and speak to any of the girls in his staff, they are very kind, heart warming people, who have all been around the Gastric Bypass procedures and is very willing and able to help you in any way, shape or form, to the best of their knowledge and ability.

My first impression of Dr. Iqbal was that he's a profectionist. I listen to him while he's talking to other patients. He's very concerned about his work. He wants to make sure that everything goes well before, during and after the surgery to protect his reputation. And that's what intriged me the most about him. He wants his patients to do well and thats very comforting.

My first impression of Dr Iqbal was that he was very intent on making sure I new what I was asking for. That impressed me most.
Because I had prior surgery in the same area we were not sure that a bypass could be done and he assured me that if not- he would do the vertical banding.
I did get the vertical banding and have not had any complications to date.
It's been one year now and I still am under his care. He is wonderful! I can honestly say I never leave his office without a Smile on my face.
He is a "10" in my book.
