Dr. Earnest Rosato (First Surgery)
He was a very nice man. Talked all about the surgery to me and answered all my questions. Office staff was very friendly and right to the point. Waiting time in the waiting room was bad but I heard he is a real busyman and the best on the East coast.
June 20021: called Dr. Rosato's office and informed them that I was gaining weight, about 20 pounds, and they wanted me to go see a dietitican. Well, insurance does not cover it and I don't have extra money to go. Then I heard of Dr. Iqbal. Called and made an appointment for August. Went and met him. Real impressed. The first thing he wanted was for me to have a test do he could look at my stomach. Had that done in Sept. and found out Dr. Rosato either made the banding too big or too loose and it was wider. It was nothing I did THANK GOD. That was the reason I was not losing weight. Not my diet. Dr. Rosato was a good doc. but he did not take the time to see the root of my problem.

hes very sensetive and caring and "a kicked back kinda guy" i felt very relaxed with him. his office was very clean and the ladies were efficient. i havent seen anything yet that i havent liked about him. have all documents with you that the office requests ahead of time they really need them and cant do anything with out them. hes big on after care and preop care. he expressed all aspects of the surgeries. he also gives you reading material to go over and take home. ill keep in touch and keep you all updated.

Dr Iqbal was wonderful on our first and second meeting. He didn't rush through the appointments and answered any questions I had. I have 100% confidence that he is the right Dr. for me. His staff is cordial and gets back to you when they hear anything in a timely manner. There wasn't anything I didn't like about him, he is a non-drinker and a non-smoker, so I know he won't need to rush through the surgery to go take a smoke. Dr Iqbal had a great deal to talk to me about with the aftercare. It is of course a very essential part in a good recovery and great weight loss outcome. All risks were talked about in the first appointment as well as sending me home with a packet to read and take notes on to ask him more questions on future appointments. In my opinion Dr Iqbal is a great surgeon who takes care of his patients and cares about their outcome.

I was very pleased with my surgeon the moment i met him. What made me feel comfortable about him is that he acknowledge that although he does all he can to keep everything under control during the surgery, he stated that the man up stairs being God had the ultimate control. That made me feel at ease to know that i totally dependent of God. The staff was very friendly and nice. Linda was good to talk too and funny. The surgeon stated that anything could go wrong during the surgery, is the most honest answer i've heard.
I am planning God willing to have the R-N-Y surgery. The surgeon will explore if this is the best choice for me since i have diabetes insipidus and take medication daily. Malapabsorbtion can cause a problem.

Doctor seems to be friendly and helpful and tried to answer all my questions. Office was very busy but they considerate and friendly.
Nurse was able to get approval for my surgery over the phone with my insurance company. She said that has never happened before.

My first impression of Dr.Iqbal was that he was in control! If you did exactly what he said you would be in good hands. As time went on and we got closer to my surgery date my impressions of him did not change so I just sat back and did what he said.
His office staff at first I was not impressed with at all,but as time went on the girls in his office were all helpful to me.
At first I felt he was very curt, however he is a professional with very little spare time, but the one thing I will say is that when it came to surgery day and afterward he is a pussycat with his patients.Sweet and ca
ring and right there for you.
Right from the beginning his emphasis on aftercare was uppermost. All he kept telling me was if you listen and do what I tell you and comply to what he has to say everything will be fine.
He is the structure and support for his patients aftercare.Although I tease him and tell him he is a one man show!
Right from the beginning he made me aware of what the risks where however he did not dwell on them, again his answer was listen to what I tell you and everything will go fine!
