Dr.Carter was wonderful at my initial appointment and he continues to be wonderful. His staff is great and very helpful. Dr. Carter emphasis aftercare very much and he has a structured aftercare program. He explained the risks of surgery throughly and I would rate him a 10. I think both surgical competence and bedside manner are both equally great.

My first impression of Dr. Carter was that he was a patient, well-educated doctor. My impression has not changed. His staff for the most part is okay. Dr. Carter is really concerned and eager to help his patients before and after surgery. He's very detailed with the risk and complications from surgery. As well as the benefits. I rate Dr. Carter from 1-10 a 10!! His surgical competence and bedside manner are great.

When I frist meet DR. Carter I thought he was a awesome doctor. He answered all of my questions and explained all that I needed to know. There is no way that you can leave his office and not know what you are gettin into.My impression of him has only grown since I have been seeing him I have recommended him to several people. I know that if I have questions or concerns Dr. Carter is there no matter what time it is. How many doctors can you find like that (NOT MANY). His office staff is also wonderful. They are also there to help if you need it. There is nothing that I dont like about Dr Carter or his Staff. The only thing that you should know about him is that you may have to wait past your appointment time to see him but it is worth the wait. Dr. Carter is a strict doctor when it scome to his before and after care but it is all for your well being and he put a big empasize on it. He addresses all the risk of the surgery like I said before you will know all you need to know and more before you leave his office and before you have the surgery he hides nothing and tells all.Overall I wuold give him a excellent rationg NOTHING TO SAY BAD ABOUT DOCTOR CARTER. DR Carter has great Surgical Competence and bedside manners. I am now 7 months out I had a open Gastric Bypass (INSURANCE IS WHY) I have not had any complications from the surgery and I have weighed 320 pounhds before the surgery now I weight 185 pounds and I am happy as can be. There is nothing bad to say about Dr. Carter he is just AWESOME. AND I WOULD LIKE TO SAY THANKS TO HIM AND HIS STAFF FOR ALWAYS BEING THERE WHEN I NEED THEM. THANKS AGAIN

DR.Carter is a very gentle and kind person he is very serious about the before and after surgery process. The staff is very friendly and they keep you updated with everything. There is nothing that I did not like about my doctor.I think people should know that he is a very serious doctor when it comes down to his patients. He is very clear on your do and dont after the surgery. He do explain to you that this is not a quick fix and that there is a risky surgery. 1out10 I would give him a 20!!

Dr. Carter seems to be an excellent surgeon, I have heard no negative things about him at all. He seems to be tired in the afternoon, when you are seen, but honestly, I'd rather have him be an excellent surgeon with a fair bedside manner than the other way around. I'll update after the surgery.
My main concern is that there seems to be no after-care sheet. I understand that I am obsessive compulsive, but I feel that I need some more information about what is happening after the surgery - when to call for a regular appointment, when to need one right now, when to page him?
What symptoms are normal, which ones are not?
I now make a list with questions each time I go in and ask, and Dr. Carter is happy to answer them, but I guess it's up to me to educate myself about the after effects of teh surgery.

My first impression is that he is a very nice man who is very dedicated to helping people with this surgery. His office staff is okay. i would say they are the most cheerful bunch, but not bad. I have definatly dealt with worse!! lol
Aftercare is very important to him, which is good because it will help only myself in the long run!!
