The Bariatric floor at Alvarado is WONDERFUL. You could not find a better hospital/staff!!!

Alvarado Hospital has dedicated the 6th floor to gastric bypass patients. The complete staff is specially trained and all of the equipment beds, furniture, wheel chairs are for obese patients. The staff is excellent and the hospital also. I would recomend Alvarado to anyone seeking the best!!! A special thank you to Ellen what an angel of a nurse she is !!!

The hospital was great. There was one amazingly awesome nurse and one crappy one. The others were good. It was a little noisy and my door won't shut, but over-all I think my stay was great.

The staff was excellent for the most part, and everyone seemed to know what they were doing as well as what the next or last person was doing or did.

the floor for bariatric patients is being remodeled as I write and at times there is a little extra construction noise. the floor is immaculately clean and beautiful, and will be wonderful when it is completed.

One entire floor of the hospital is for Bypass patients. All the nurses are there and trained in baratric procedures and patients.

Everyone in the Bariatric (6th floor) section of Alvarado was outstanding. the RN's went out of their way to make us comfortable 3/1 ratio. WOW is all I can say--radiology stunk--no compassion in trying to move with stomach but everyone else A+.

Overall, I was happy with the care and accomodations. There were a couple of nurses that did not completely understand my requests/questions because English was not their first language. However, they were very nice. I was just a little irritated because I couldn't always get my point across.

The staff was great! Sponged bathed me daily even sprinkled powder on me. On my last day assisted me with a shower!

Rosemary was my nurse and she is wonderful. The care at night was not as good. I am glad I went there.
