Alarado made the choice, the surgery, and the recovery easier on me both physically and emotionaly. They are a top notch institution and I could not more highly recommend them to anyone.

The entire 6th floor is dedicated to WLS patients. They were all for the most part very helpful except for a bad seed or two on the staff.

I HIGHLY RECCOMMEND THIS HOSPITAL AND DR ALAN WHITTGROVE, HE IS THE BEST AND INVENTED THE LAP STYLE OF SURGERY. AND YOU WILL BE IN FANTASTIC HANDS.

Overall, great! They have their own bariatric floor, special beds, huge chairs, huge wheelchairs, huge gowns, and hand-picked nurses (generally). Rosemary and Dan were amazing nurses. Dan now works at the surgeon's office, so while he isn't helping us post-ops in the hospital, he is at least using his knowledge and kindness with us as we heal.

My room phone never rang making it difficult for friends to reach me post-op. Unfortunately, after I was discharged, some indorrect info was given out by thehospital putting my friends into a panic. The post-op education was less than expected.

I really liked everything about my stay in the hospital. Everyone at Alvarado was wonderful. I have no complaints!!

Being that I had an entourage of camera crews, a producer, hair/makeup stylist, agent, parents and family and friends in tow - they were very accomodating - room 613 was my room - the largest hospital room - VIP suite - in the place. Everyone was great - Rose was a gem!

Very happy. The bariatric unit is wonderful - great beds, amazingly-comfortable chairs (made for US biggies!), and nurses generally good (you always get one you'd rather not deal with!).
