Rush Presbyterian St Luke Medical Center Hospital

I have only done my pr-op testing. But, I was in the hospital a total of 2 hours(1 being my Dr. appt.) I had to have an ekg, bloodwork, and an X-ray. These were on 3 seperate floors of the hospital....I had thes all done in an hours time AMAZING! I gave an Average rating for priivacy because the registration desk area is cramped and loud so you have to speak loudly so eveyone can hear you. I gave the parking a poor because it is rather expensive..but I am from out of town...This may be average for Chicago..It cost us 9.00 to park in the garage. They do offer valet for about $.50 more but it is timed just like the garage. They do not validate parking for patients.

Rush gives experienced, highly professional care in a warm and friendly environment.

The nursing staff is excellent. The hospital ahs a cpmmittee that is currently reseaching adding more accomodations for the obese and morbidly obese, such as larger beds and chairs, because of the volume of these surgeries that they are performimg. All in all an excellent hospital.

EVER THING WENT GREAT I GIVE IT A 10 I HAD KNOW PROBLEMS

The nurses at Rush cannot be beat. They were simply amazing. But its a teaching hospital, and sometimes residents are overworked and not as attuned to patients needs. But other than the fact that I was in a lot of pain while I was there (I'd just had surgery, remember), it was a pretty good experience. As far as hospitals go. And the nurses are amazing, did I mention that?

Overall staff were good, one bad night, made for an overall negative opinion. Which I got over after one month. I wanted more information and communication than I got. I think I would have had a better impression of the experience if that had occurred.

Administration should review housekeeping standards for cleanliness.
