i did a heart rate/lactate acid threshold test today as input for the new program i am working with.  i did it on a TM in the hotel while i'm on a couple day biz trip.

40 minutes on TM, 5.04 miles: 10 min warmup, 10 min rampup to max HR, 8 min all-out, 2 min recover, 10 min warmdown.... not fun.
Where are we going??  And why am I in this handbasket??

right now.  somewhere.  somebody is working harder than you.

Unplanned rest day, just had no mojo today. Thinking my B12 is nose diving as this friday I am due for my shot (taking it tonight).  Hoping for a better day tomorrow.

Day 2 of 30 day shred.

I made it thru my second day of 30 day shred, level 1. it is a killer, and I do modify the jumping jacks .... more like the one guy on " The last chance workout" DVD from biggest Loser. I also do the girl style push ups.

How do I feel? I'm sore from yesterday for sure, but no injuries. I can feel it all over my triceps, biceps, delts, gluts, abs, hams, and quads. It's a full body workout including strength, cardio, and abs. After I started today's work out the soreness went away. I'm sure it will be back.

Now to go drink a high protein recovery shake.

Jillian may say she has 400 lb people doing jumping jacks on the ranch, but this DVD is a super intense, short 20 minute non stop work out ( and it's not a Biggest loser one) that uses the concept of muscle confusion to trick muscles into not getting used to a particular routine.

I made it thru again without stopping, lots of sweat, wanted to stop, but no discomfort.

Again...I do not want to even think about this until tomorrow! But there is something about it that makes you want to keep doing it, for me it's because it's such a short blast, like c'mon 20 minutes? I can do that!

My goal is to complete 30 days in a row of shred ( one day off a week)~ ending on May 11th, then go from there. Wish me luck. I hope I can complete this goal.

I hope by then to have improved my form, strength and endurance to do more full on jumping jacks.
