I wish I could "like" this a hundred times... I was trying to explain to someone the other day about how obese people are still treated differently. She had lost 25 pounds, but acknowledged that it was a different experience.

This made my morning! So many of us...I belong to a WLS group via meetup. We soak our feet and drink tea and talk at this place called "House of Steep" and they ALL have experienced it too!

It's good and bad.

The good: people are much nicer -- I always have people holding doors and such for me now.

The bad: we went to the movies one day. We were sitting in the middle and I had to go out to the washroom. No one moved their feet/legs. I had to climb over people, I even put my hand on someone's knee so I didn't fall. When I was obese you can be sure they moved out of the way -- probably for fear of being stepped on or something.

"probably for fear of being stepped on or something."

-I thought the same thing! Self preservation!!!

But I'll skip the rabbit and stick with my meat sauce on the zoodles.

Is that a buffalo ranch cream cheese in your celery?

Good morning Menu friends, busy weekend for me. Wedding to attend tonight, tomorrow evening we are going to Montreal in the afternoon, will walk around Old Montreal, go to dinner and then attend a Montreal Impact Game ( MLS Soccer), Sunday we will take it easy and usually spend some time laying in the sun and jumping in the hot tub.

QOTD - If I didn't have WLS - I would not be as active as I am, playing Hockey, running in 5k races, going to the gym, and climbing Mountains ( see pic)

Accountability - spot on, this weekend I will allow a few more calories than normal. For those putting a hand over mouth right now, I use MFP and plan..LOL

B- Pure protein bar

S- Caramel apple pie yogurt

L - Left over chicken divan

S - Buddig meat

D - roast beef

E - I will get 10,000 steps in and dance the night away at the wedding. I like to dance and my wife loans me out as she tires...she tells everyone not to fear when they have a spouse that will not dance..as I do not stop..LOL

Pic is of Big Slide Mountain in Keene Ny, my wife and I did a 10 mile round trip on Monday 08/14, was a great day and was number 4 in our quest to hit the 46 High Peaks of the Adiorondack Mountains.

Dance with me! I keep running into non-dancer men.

In fact, until I read your post, I had a theory: Men only have 3 good dances in them. A) Prom B) their wedding and C) their child's wedding.

Thank you for ruining my scientific hypothesis!

:)

Hey SS - I would dance with ya!

did you notice that I only mentioned that I like to dance, I am not thinking I am very good at it, but am also sure that not many have as much fun as I do at it...LOL

Great pics Mike! Holy cow, you are rocking your fitness man! I am so looking to becoming more active...getting back to the gym, swimming and biking. I can't hike and walk because I have the flattest feet you have ever seen and although I have custom inserts it's still painful to walk distances.
