I got quite lucky. One of the ladies who had been shooting broke up with her boyfriend and quit shooting in one fell swoop. She gave all her clothes away and wouldn't take any money for them. She was tiny--smaller than me and only myself and one other woman were small enough to wear them. So I have a whole closet full of freebies--some purchased at exorbitant prices and some beautiful hand made ones too. I can't even imagine how long it too to make the bustle on this outfit!

I think I just made my first pot of disaster yogurt. It's in the fridge now, but I have serious doubts it's going to set up well. Guess I can use it in protein shakes - the probiotics will be a good addition.

Dinner with friends tonight, no other plans yet for the weekend. I should probably do some cleaning since this place is a sty!! Also, make another pot of yogurt!

QOTD: I'd say dead, but then, I was one of the very fortunate ones who hadn't developed obesity-related conditions such as high blood pressure or diabetes yet. But maybe by now I would have. I know I used to constantly worry about having a heart attack and lying in an ER helpless because they couldn't do much because of my weight. I never worry about that any more. I used to also worry about being kicked off of airplanes, so I never flew unless I had no choice. No more!

2 years 2 months out:

B: homemade Greek yogurt, fresh strawberries, toasted hazelnuts

S: coffee with half & half, vanilla protein latte

L: speaking to a pre-op class today, and working from a coffee shop before that, so probably just a protein bar

D: meeting friends at an Indian place. Nothing fried, no rice, limit to one cup of food

probably another yogurt

ex: yoga

this is me on my two-year surgiversary earlier this summer

thanks!! I still think I look too thick through the middle, but then, I'm apple-shaped. Not much one can do about that, not even with plastic surgery. Boo. At my lowest I was seven pounds lighter, but my face started to look pretty bad - and it still didn't help my thick waist. I think this (above) is probably the best weight for me.
