Dr. Sowemimo is certainly my hero! He not only performed gastric by-pass on me, he had the pleasure of repairing 2 hernias, fixing a twisted bowel and removed a lot of scar tissue as a result of a previous surgery. His soothing, laid-back demeanor helped me in my moment of depair. My pain has really been minimal considering the additional work performed. I would highly recommend Dr. Sowemimo to my friends/family/co-workers for their bariatric needs.
i had my surgery in June 2012. I was 270Lb now I am 220Lb. Now i feel great and healthy. my old clothes are too big on me now. This surgery work because it helps you lose wieght. I tried many things before this surgery to help me lose wieght but really they were making me gain the weight.This surgery this is the best thing thing to do. This doctor is great
In September of 2011 I had a vertical sleeve gastrectomy performed by Dr. Sowemimo. I feel so fortunate to have had "Dr. Seun" as my surgeon. His level of skill, sense of humor and caring manner make him such an excellent surgeon. I have lost over 90lbs and feel great physically and emotionally. Needless to say, this surgery has been life altering for me!
Dr. Seun is very good - a real person- caring and attentive--this is the best decision i ever made! so happy losing weight- and the surgery was not a bad experience at all. i had the gastric sleeve and it reduced my diabetes meds from 4 pills a day to 1 pill or none and no more high blood pressure meds- this is lifesaving - thank you Dr. Seun-
Had sleeve surgery in September, 2012 and I have soo far lost 40 lbs. I have more energy and feel great. I was diagnosed with cardiomyopothy 3 years ago. I feel this surgery along with a healthier lifestyle is changing my life. Dr. Sean and the staff at Cebtral Jersey Bariatrics are fantastic!!!
I wish I had done this surgery 10 years ago. The experience was nothing but positive. Dr. Sowemimo and Julie Parrot supported me emotionally all the way. I knew what I was getting into and was really surprised at how quickly I recovered.
It has been 6 months and I have gone from 233 to 189 to date.
Dr. Seun was available by phone when I had a concern while in California and resolved it immediately. I was very relieved to know I could get help when I needed it, even when in another state.
I strongly recommend Dr. Seun. He is professional, caring, and accessible. His staff is upbeat and enjoyable to work with.
My opinion of Dr. Seun was positive. He explained the risks, was very up front and does take the time to listen to you.
The Dr. is very personable, I feel very comfortable talking to the Dr. he answers all my questions. The Office Staff is great, very friendly and welcoming. I recommend the Dr. to all. He explained to me step by step everything I would be going through. Always there to answer any questions. He has wonderful bedside manners along with wonderful surgical competence. Overall I have nothing negative to say about my overall experience.
Dr.Seun is great I didn't start off my weight loss journey with him but I'm glad I ended up finishing it with him. He made the whole process easy from day one,I'm so lucky that I had him on my side, very grateful to Dr.Seun and his wonderful staff!
My experience with Dr. Sowemimo of Central Jersey Bariatrics was a very positive one. I first met with Dr. Sowemimo in July of 2012 as an initial consultation, he "filled the blanks in" for the difference in surgeries and helped me in my decision on which route to go with my weight loss surgery. Together we decided that the vertical Gastric Sleeve was the best option for me. During this same appointment, he gave me the information for the additional testing I would need along with all the paperwork and procedures to get insurance approvals. I met monthly with Julie Parrott, the nutritionist for Central Jersey Bariactrics for the next three months. No matter who I was meeting with the visits to their office were always enjoyable and I never left with any unanswered questions.
My surgery was 12/5/2012 at Centra State Medical Center. I arrived at approximately 7:30 am for pre-op procedures. Just prior to the surgery Dr. Sowemimo came into the pre-op holding area, asking how I was feeling and gave me a rundown of the itinerary and procedures for my surgery. Dr. Sowemimo met with me in the recovery room after surgery, to let me know that everything went well, there were no complications, and explained the rest of the procedures for my stay at the hospital including what my diet would be, when my drain would be removed, and what was expected of me while in the hospital.
Since having surgery, I am quite pleased. I have lost almost a 1/3 of my goal weight, have more energy, and feel healthier then I have in a long time.
