
Blackened Fish Recipe with an Easy to Make Cajun Seasoning Rub
September 20, 2019Why go out to eat when you can cook my mouth-watering Blackened Fish recipe right at home! This simple blackened seasoning recipe contains all of the wonderful flavors of Louisiana Cajun cuisine in a crust around your favorite filet of fish.
It is quick to whip up my blackened fish seasoning with paprika, chili powder, thyme, and garlic makes a quick Cajun Blackened fish dinner. Just a 2-step fish recipe that adds a bold statement to any meal. This recipe is not only a diabetic fish recipe and gluten-free, but one of my favorite go-to easy fish dinner recipes. Also, a great protein source making this easy recipe perfect to start including more seafood options in your diet.
Blackened Fish Recipe with an Easy to Make Cajun Seasoning Rub

Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 1/2 pounds fish fillets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
Directions
- In a small bowl or plastic zip-top resealable bag, combine all ingredients, except fish and oil. Coat both sides of fish with seasoning mixture.
- In large nonstick pan, heat oil over medium-high heat. Place fish in a hot pan and cook 2-3 minutes on each side until fish is done and flakes with a fork.
