Topic: Stall or something? Help? Anyone else?
Well wls was the best thing ever! I started at 277.4 and I was down to 166.2, fine, ok...1 yr anniv is on Feb 8th, so thought a few more lbs down I'd be happy. My goal weight is 145... Drinking all my water, doing fitday.com and tracking food, but yesterday my weight went to 169.8? What the ***#$@^ so, I thought ok, retaining water maybe? Hasn't happened yet since surgery, so I've been working out like a wild banchi, and weighed this afternoon (probably a no-no in the afternoon but and it was at 170!!! UGH? This has only been a few days, but I'm stressing out!!! Is this just a premenstral thing or is this it for me???? Just curious if anyone else has experienced this?? Love reading the posts by the way girls I guess I need a picture huh?

Topic: RE: Make sure you drink!!
Thanks everyone for your replies! I have been doing a lot better on my drinking...I tentatively tried gulping a few drinks of water and found that I could do it! Today I ended up back at the hospital with more severe kidney pain. They checked my labs (they were fine) and gave me a back of fluids to flush the kidney...apparently there is some residual blood and stuff there from the stent that was removed Wednesday. Hopefully this will clear up soon. While there I was also told the weirdest thing. Since losing weight I have been freezing all the time-I figured this was just from losing so much of my insulation...lol..anyways, when they took my temperature, it was 95.4 degrees! Hypothermia starts at 95 degrees! How weird is that? They said it was unusually low, but since it was an oral reading didn't seem too concerned. No wonder I am always cold...I'm a human ice cube! Brrrrrrrrr, Sheila

First...I offer my condolences...I, too, have had a kidney stone since surgery (but I have had them before). My latest surgery for them was about 3/4 mos after my RNY. It was more painful than my kidney stone surgery back in 95...they used some type of method with a laser...and it hurt the moment I woke up..and the first time I had to urinate I thought I was gonna die!!LOL I have had a stint both times. I think I have another one...I've been getting the same pains again...but I will wait until it gets bad. As for drinking, I can gulp as much as I want....doesn't bother me at all. I do drink diet sodas..but try to go easy on them. I do tend to drink them if we go to the bar...I use them for mixed drinks. None of it ever bothered me. Donna

I can chug about 1/4 of a 20 oz water bottle at one sitting. I'm a chugger lol. I have not had one soda since before surgery - I honestly don't miss it. I just drink water and unsweet iced tea. Keep gettin in those fluids! Kia 5'9" 284/167/155
