You are right to want help. I really really suggest calling a therapist or counselor, maybe one with help in addictions. This sounds like self sabotage.

A lot of overweight people have Food addictions. You can also look up overeatersanonymous. They have online meetings which you can find right now. The one for therecoveryroom is every 3 hours 3pm, 6, 9, 12a est.

Check it out. You really need to get inside your head. Please keep us updated. I personally think people need to hit bottom before they can figure out how to change. Maybe this is your bottom and you are waking up. Mine was last summer.

Topic: Out of control
I had my surgery on april 19 (VSG) and the first 3 weeks i did great, lost 24lbs, Then i don't know what happened, all of a sudden i started  eating crap: hotwings,  chips, take out, i went camping and had sunflower seeds and clamato juice, ate waay to much, things high in sodium, and i feel like i can and have been eating  too much since ive started, its really making me depressed and i feel out of control. A year and a half before surgery i lost 120lbs on my own and wouldnt imagine eating anything bad for me, but am tired of it. I still have a long ways to go I don't know what to do..am soo lost. This is supposed to be the time i lose the most weight..and eating the junk isnt helping at all.  Is it possible to stretch your stomach this early out? why can't i stop eating the crap? i need help!

My doctor said if you aren't well your body goes into an emergency mode and it keep you from loosing weight. Also your body will hold water.

I only lost 3 pounds in three week after I had complications. I have been doing well these past 6 days and every day I improved. But the best thing is I started loosing weight again. I am not sure how much because I made my husband put my scale in his trun****pt weighing myself and would get discouraged.

I am happy to say I almost feel like my old self. I can't seem to fall asleep for naps and by 7:30 or 8:00 pm I am so tired I looked drugged.

More great news; since the leakage from my belly button stopped I have been walking 30 minutes in the morning. I was out at 7 am this morning. The mornings are fantastic because it is still cool out and all the birds are singing. I don't tolerate heat well because of some meds.

I am really happy for you and for me too. I understand not loosing weight when everyone else is loosing tons.

Topic: RE: Protein bars
ok so i went out and looked at a ton of protein bars at vitamin shop, walmart, and walgreens, and i found the most variety at walmart which was shocking as i expected the vitamin shop to have more!! in any case, i bought the atkins bars as these were the ones with the least amount of sugar...  most of their bars have 1 gram of sugar and my doctor told me to avoid foods that have more than 5 grams of sugar per servings. So this was an obvious winner in that regard. i bought the day break bars which are smaller, 1.2 oz per bar, and has 10 grams of protein, and 150 calories. only the atkins fruit bars had sugar alcohols so i steered clear of those.

SO for now i am sticking with atkins and continuing an online search for more bars that have limited sugar and calories!!

Finally, I was really starting to freak out because I hadn't lost but was gaining weight since they started packing my incision. I lost 2lbs finally! I'm going to do a happy dance!

I know that I was getting smaller via the measuring tape but it sure lets you breathe easier when you see it on the scale! Hope everyone is doing great!

You are definitely not a nut! I have actually looked into attending overeaters anonymous meetings just to have support. They are the only type of weight type support groups where I live. I haven't had a meltdown but I probably will. I ate to cope with life, not a good thing.
