We have to love the doctors, NPs, etc. who go above and beyond to help with things our surgeons can't do or won't!

Okay, I was 339 when I started the pre-op diet, day of surgery was 299. After surgery, I went back to 330ish. Fluid gain happens quick for me. The lowest weight I've seen on the scale is 279. Surgery was 4/5, about 7 weeks out?  I really haven't paid attention to my weight loss. It fluctuates 2-5lb daily. I have lost inches though!

Topic: Stage 5 and the rest of my life!!!
my last day with stage 4 foods is June 2nd. and stage 5 is the last stage and the guidelines for the rest of my life. basically low fat, little to no sugar, no caffeine for 3 months, no bubbles (soda, etc), im sure you all know lol.
but i dont feel like im going to have much of a transition between these two stages. i mean i know ill be able to eat more things but my lack of enough protein each day is still leaving me with just eating as much protein enriched foods/drinks as possible.
i guess theres nothing awesome to look forward to but just wanted to see what others where thinking about it

I had surgery in Mexico, so my surgeon won't be doing any of mine, its just my pcp who is very supportive, though she knows nothing about the DS! lol

My surgeon won't be doing mine until 6mo's so I'm going to have my GP do them when she gets back from vacation. My GP is the best. She has been the one to take care of my infected incision and get the care I needed for it at home.

I'm just wondering. My doc said 3 mo, 6 mo, 9mo, 12 mo but I'm really anxious to see how my levels are doing and if I'm doing this right. I'm sure all I would see are my stores but Andrea U said that, I can't remember if she said most or many?, wls patients already have a defiency at 3 months labworks. Just taking a poll!

Topic: RE: What does your menu look like?
Breakfast is ALWAYS scrambled eggs with a side of sausage from Mickey D's. Sometimes if I have time, I'll do it myself, but that's only 1-2 times a week.

Lunch is usually turkey w mayo, or crab w mayo. If I go out its a turkey lunch w green beans and cole slaw. (We don't have many choices in my little town) That usually lasts 2-3 days from that one meal.

snack may be pintas n cheese with sour cream from Taco Bell or turkey n cheese roll ups.

Dinner is usually a meat w sauce and green beans. I basically stay away from starches. Still focusing on the protein.

another snack is usually one chicken nugget before bed.

I would love to hear more ideas.

DON'T COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS!!! It will drive you crazy!! I've quit putting my ticker on there bc of that reason. No good can come from it.
