HI Diana - I am so happy to hear that you feeling some better now!  I am feeilng better, too!  I think we are going to survive this!!!  We have to just keep pluggin away.

Good idea about the scale.  I need to hide mine - I can't help myself and then I get discouraged (which is stupid but I never claimed to be super intelligent lol).

Sorry about all the gas - I am fortunate that I have not yet encountered that ....I am sure my time is coming.

I am 4 1/2 weeks out and I am allowed to eat 1/2 cup.  I can't get that much down yet, I get full before that.  I think 1/2 cup is normal at this point but you might want to check with your dr or nut before increasing your portion sizes.

I agree, it's great to have contact with people who are going through the same stages.

Im 6 weeks post-op, If I eat more than 1/4 cup(dont feel full)  can I stretch my pouch?  do you have to eat a huge portion to harm the pouch?  I feel like I can eat more.  Everything goes down fine/no dumping.

Good morning Diana.  Glad your feeling a little better.  You and I and Tony need to get together sometime next week.  I do a little better each day.  Have you bought any Devrom tablets. They should help with the gas and BM smell issue.  I bought three bottles and haven't had to use any yet but I am sure I will.  Yesterday I actually got all my fluids and all my protein in.  Now if I can keep doing that and get some exercise going maybe I can jumpstart this little party we're having.
I am hoping this second drain will come out on Thursday.
Give me a call if you want to chat.   I am going to go make beds, clean kitchen, and do some laundry.  Believe me that will be with many rest stops along the way.
Here's a big hug to start out the day.

Hun I feel you on the gas, I need to rig air freshener to my hiney at times, even the dog runs away.  Glad you are doing better.  I had to learn a while back with one of my conditions.  When my body says rest, do it.  Otherwise I will be miserable.  So if I want to take a nap I do.  Plus you are still healing so your body needs that.
I have started a blog all of my own for this journey.  Please follow me at www.digitalsheep.org.
