Some rnyers have reactive hypoglycemia. Or dehydration can cause it too. Maybe you are sweating more than you think?

Oh my sweet friend!
I am so sorry you are going through so much! Perhaps being close to your mother will make a world of difference; sometimes we need that connection and closeness. Hang in there and keep your faith in the Good Lord, he will make everything alright. I will continue to keep you in my prayers!
Please keep us posted as much as you can.
Much, much love!

Topic: Dizziness
The past week has been rather confusing to me. I have been having little or no trouble with my food, still not very hungry, and doing my best to make sure I get as much fluid s possible in, plus 2 protein shakes. Well, on Saturday, I joined a gym. My first night working out at the gym was Monday. I came home afterward, had a protein shake and about 2 hours later went to bed. I woke up so dizzy, wih a major headache and slight stomach pain! I could barely walk and when I did, I bumped into things... one time my son had to catch me because I was making dinner and fell into the sink while filling a pan. The next day I had a doctor's appointment so I figured I'd wait till then. In the mean time I was hunting the net. I found that some people had similar experiences when their blood sugar was low. went to the fridge and grabbed a couple of grapes About 20 miutes later, the headache cleared and the dizzyness lessened tremendosly I figured that because I am so focused on making sure I buy low or no sugar everything, that my workout burned off my blood sugar. The next day i woke up with no issues, worked out, came home and added peanut butter to my shake and i was fine! However, I woke up today, and tho not as severe as Tuesday, I am going in and out of dizziness Not as bad, but annoying. I had some unsweetened aplesauce this morning, but no help. When I went to the doctor, they aggreed it may have been hypoglycemia. I didnt work out last night and had the applesauce just in case. Not sure what it is anymore. Anyone have any input or similar experiences?
Topic: RE: 6 Weeks Out How much are you eating?
Honestly, I am not sure what my calorie intake is. On an average day, I eat 2 meals, usually fish (1/2 a tilapia filet fills me good, or 5 or 6 shrimp with some lemon juice) or eggs since they are high in protein and easy to digest. I am just not very hungry. I try and have at least 2 protein shakes a day and try to get at least 60 ounces of water in besides that. I have found that now that I am working out at the gym, my water intake has increased, but I am sure the amount of water I am losing during the workout counteracts that....lol
Topic: RE: 6 Weeks Out How much are you eating?
I'm averaging between 700 and 800 calories a day. Each meal is about 150 calories and then I drink 2 protein shakes each day to try and maximize my protein intake. Currently taking in between 90 and 110g of protein a day.

Oh boy - I am sorry that this is going on with you. Maybe your pouch just isn't ready for solids?? Glad they are going to get you in and check things out - better safe than sorry!! Good Luck. Don't fret too much - it's probably nothing major

have you been scoped for a stricture... you sound exactlyyyyy like i did.. and the dr kept saying no its just me its just me its behavioral and im not doing what im suppose to... but i finally pushed them and they sent me to get an endoscopy and viola! there was a stricture.. it forms where they reconnect the intestines to the stomach and instead of just healing it closes as it heals so that the exit of your stomach closes and you cant get stuff in... as for your psych meds... that should have been done by dr dr pre-op thats not fair to you at all!!! have them check your B12 level, that can drastically effect how your meds work... (something i learned post-op) if its too low they dont work right... and just be patient you may some day be able to lower your dose of meds, cuz you absorb them different, things change so much in the months post-op i actually ran out of my meds a couple weeks ago and had to take the extended release and to my surprise i adsorbed it fine... take things one at a time. you will be able to do it, but seriously make them scope you.. insurance covers it so they should have no objection to just checking to be sure... if they do then i would be finding a second opinion. good for going to the protein shots, i tried them and wanted to gag they were so grose, but that was the theory for me too that less protein left more room for fluids... hun keep up the positive... dont get all exercize guru on yourself,... just gentle walks. take it all with stride... keep us updated, and most of all>>>FIND A SUPPORT GROUP NEAR YOU!!!!!!! and make yourself go... good luck.. be forceful with your dr about what you want and need

Hope things are well. Will send up a prayer for you. Sometimes when you know alot what might be going on, it makes it a little more of an anxious time. You sound like you are in good hands though. Hope things go well for you.

I have begun having daily vomiting of mucous and occasional pain along with. So I thought I would email the program director for bariatric (I know her well, we work at the same hospital). I wasn't thinking it was any big deal, just wondered if I should do something different with my diet. After quite a few phone calls from her and then one from the surgeon, they have me on clear liquids only and nothing after midnight. Tomorrow I am having an ultrasound of my gallbladder and then a barium swallow and follow through. I wasn't worried til they started all this! Now I'm feeling like impending doom....but I was tolerating solids much better two weeks ago than this last week. Maybe we will get some answers. Sigh.
