I do see another therapist who has helped me with my food issues. I feel that she helps me more than Dr. Mary does and that Dr. Mary is just a hurdle to get past in order to have my surgery at Community.
Don't get me wrong, Dr. Mary is VERY nice. I'm just not used to her approach toward patients.

Hello All
I am going through St. Vincent Carmel. my Surgeon is Dr. Douglas Kederabek, and his office has been very good and quick. I went to the consultation, they done all the dealings with my ins., I never had to see the dietician like most have to for 3 to 6 months, I did see the psych. and I have a date to see the nut.,and also all the pre-op testing, and i am scheduled for my new life to begin on 8/24/10.

Topic: Great lunch today in Evansville with Andrea
Some of us from the Evansville group met today with AndreaU from OH. It was a great time,.. nice to make some new friends, share info and experiences and get to know Andrea. (A couple of us were bold enough to ask Andrea to pose for photos after.)

As someone who has been thru the psychiatry visits as part of my journey and as someone who hopes to practice that career someday I want to say I was trained to put the client first and establish positive regard. I like people to look into my eyes when we are talking and not into some computer screen. I want them to hear me and to not seem distracted. As therapists we all have our own ways of practicing so we are so individualized as is each person we see. Thank you for talking about this on here and for helping me to realize how I want to interact with my clients. I saw Dr. Stote at St V's and while he was a little odd he helped me to see the value of hunger and not eating my emotions. My family gatherings are centered around fun laughter and activity not around the table. If you dont feel good about your situation is there someone else they have you see? Do you react to the therapist because of some uncertainties you feel? Maybe it would help to talk to your therapist and tell her your concerns!

It is 8am and I am up on my day off. Listening to my Frappe machine making my coffee this morning. I love this machine and it is saving me a lot of money sincce I am not hitting Starbucks or Tree of Life for a Frappe all the time.
Hope everyone is planning on attending the clothing exchange in Indy today. Would love to see everyone old or new to the group.
Guess I better get my act in gear and finish loading the truck up.

Thank you so much for your time and the info. Ellenberger Park is about 4 minutes from me. However I am now committed to the Yard and clothing sale for tomorrow. Wish I had checked ahead of time I have been out of touch on OH for awhile. Maybe next time! Free IS a better deal than selling them for 2-3 dollars. Best wishes.

The clothing exchange is free.. dont expect to sell any there tomorrow... you can get leads and give out your number but dont sell at the exchange..
