I really need a little something different and I keep trying to find a diet beverage that is not crystal light and the only thing I find is iced tea.

I know Crystal Lite can get pretty boring, but I found a few new flavours the other day...and I think they are pretty great...not too sweet...and offer some variety from the traditional flavours...
Right now I am drinking: Acai White Peach Papaya...*new fave*
And I picked up some of the tea blends:
Dragon Fruit Mango White Tea
Rooibos Herbal Tea Mandarin
Worth a try if you can tolerate it...
And in the mornings, I have fallen in love with Tetley Earl Grey Vanilla.... can't start my mornings without it!

you can brew your own iced tea... I dont like the crap we all have come to know as iced tea... I make the American style iced tea then I control the flavor and the sweetener used ect...
in a non metallic pot throw a few tea bags (remember it will steep for a while so I start off with 2 for about 1.5L of water add a pinch of baking soda. *** (this will also depend on the tea..the tetley herbals i use 3 the tetley decaf 3... normal tetley 2... PC herbal teas 3)
if you dont have a non metallic pot boil your kettle and mix and steep the tea in a pitcher
bring water, tea bags, and baking soda to a gentile rolling boil.... add the desired amount of sweetener or leave it un-sweetened
pour into a pitcher remove tea bags and add ice to cool and place in the fridge.
you can always adj st the strength of tea by leaving the bags in longer or shorter amounts of time
you can control the amount of sweetness with the sweetener
I make lemon green tea and honey all the time
try the fruity herbal teas i think they are better then Snapple
I use a metallic pot the only thing that happens is the tea will get a scummy film on top and it does not look nice it will not affect the tea at all... after prolonged use the pot may become discolored
the baking soda will cut the bitterness .. i dont have an exact measurement.. just a pinch.. if you find the tea bitter add a bigger pinch bext time..lol
I also mix and match my tea to try different combos. mint and green tea with honey is good.. (I add about 1tbsp of honey for 1.5 - 2L)

I make a hibicus caffein free iced tea.....
I use Hibuces orange tea (it's naturally decaf, I'm from Ottawa, so I can't have caffein)
I add fresh lime juice,
lime zest
mint
Ice
and Splenda
I mix the splenda and the tea with the boiling water...To make sure the Splenda disolves
I bruise the mint and throw it in the pot with Ice and the lime zest and lime juice.
I was always told to make Iced Tea to use more tea bags and let it steap for less time if you want it weak, and use even more for stronger iced tea and to never let it sit for more then like 5 mins, otherwise you can get bitter iced tea
I learned this recipe from Jamie Oliver's 30 minute meals... it is sooooo tasty
