Just wondering how many of you brought your support person to your Nurse Dietician and Social Worker appts?

I brought my support with me to every appts that I have gone to. I truly felt it was and still is very important that he supports me in all of my journey.

hmmm, my support person is moving Thursday when I go. So I am just worried that they will look at me and say no because my support person didnt come.
I cant bring hubby cause I have to stay the night or leave at 3:30 am to get there at 8:30. And either of those dont work cause of the tiny people.
You think I will be ok?

I never brought a support person to any of the appointments since my DH was not able to take the time off work.

He did come to the hospital with me for the surgery.

I am not at the same center but I have attended all but one alone. I have had no issues.

well.. I have no support person that is able to come.. one son lives in BC for work, the ther is 17 and in school and really supports me a lot, but has no desire to sit in a doctors office.. he sure learns a lot,though! I talk his ear off daily lol! There is not a day that goes by he doesnt learn a new thing about my RNY I am getting and will be there in TOronto with me when I get surgery. I have a ton of friends who I would never ask to go to the doctors with me (but they all support me) I am unmarried and I have no Boy friend... I dont speak with my parents (one I cant even find, the other is just insane)

So long stroy short, I hope they dont think less of me because I did not bring a support person with me.. because everyone in my everyday life so far supports me from managers to friends to family near and far. :)

My husband has been at all my appts including orientation. I hate driving in the city so he has no choice 'cause if Mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy
