I am 7 months out from surgery, down over 100 lbs now, and me and the Hubby are taking a trip down south to Toronto for the weekend. What and where do you like to eat that is somewhat bariatric friendly downtown Toronto? Please note that I am also allergic to eggs since before surgery and I also have not had any issues eating anything as of yet (except a dried fig, won't be doing that again lol), I don't eat white bread, white rice or simple carbs at all. I will be bringing and buying stuff from the grocery stores as well but the hubby would like to take me out for dinner a couple times throughout our trip. Any recommendations?
Thanks!

Hello all. I got out for an extended walk last night so I feel good about that but tonight will depend on the weather. I can always use my indoor cycle but its just not the same.
B - greek yogurt
S - turkey pepperettes
L - chicken veggie soup
S - 1/2 protein shake
D - leftover roast chicken, broccoli
S - maybe PB on melba toast but hopefully won't be hungry
Stay away rain! Ginny needs to camp and farmers need to plant their crops.

Good morning :)
Nothing much planned for today which is good because I don't seem to sleep well in this weather. We live in a two storey house and upstairs gets too hot and humid. It's almost better once it gets hotter and the AC turns on.
Accountability: I did not feel like eating yesterday which was good and bad. I ate very little during meals but picked up some snacks.
Post-op four years and three months.
Breakfast - protein shake
Snack - boiled egg and oatmeal
Lunch - tbd
Snack - pepperette and cheese
Dinner - possibly leftover chicken but that doesn't sound good right now
Snack - SF pudding
All water and vits.
Good morning Gang. Well it looks like we are in for several days of rain which doesn't bode well for a weekend of camping. We may end up cancelling Hit the gym this morning for some cardio because my walking buddy here at work is very unreliable - no guarantees when he will go or not.
I might hit up Costco after work - need to stock up on my supplements.
Post Op 3yrs 2 mos
B - Jimmie Dean Simple Scramble - Bacon (picked these up in the US. taste decent and are convenient when you don't feel like prepping your own)
L - chicken quesadilla
D - chicken caesar salad
I'm going to try and forgo snacks today - if I need something I have a protein shake in the fridge.
Have a great day. Stay dry.
Good morning everyone. I'm hoping the sun stays out so I can add to my walk again tonight then do some weights but the forecast isn't looking very promising.
6 months post op
B - greek yogurt, blueberries
S - low fat SF bran muffin
L - roast chicken & mushrooms
S - turkey pepperettes
D - shrimp & sauce, salad
S - 1/2 protein shake (slushy style)

Glad I'm not the only one! I tried responding multiple times and it wouldn't work either.
I am in the middle of my liquid diet stage but I am not on opti - my program uses Iso-flex which you mix with milk and it's not bad. I do add sugar free water flavourings to it though. Dasani cherry pomegranate to the chocolate to make a chocolate cherry. I add the walmart brand orange tangerine sugar free water drops to the vanilla to make a creamsicle type flavour, I also add it to the chocolate for a chocolate orange type flavour. The crystal light pink lemonade and lemon lime crystals both go well with vanilla. I put them all in a blender with ice to make it super cold and almost slurpee like. With mine I can also make a type of ice cream since it is made with milk (not sure if this would work if yours isn't made with milk). I make the shake and then pour it into a bowl and stick it in the freezer. I stir every 20 minutes for about an hour or a little more (if you don't stir it just freezes solid) and it's sort of ice cream type texture. If that doesn't work maybe try freezing into a popsicle?
Good luck - this will be over before you know it!
Good morning :)
Not much planned for today. Possibly tackling some house chores that have been pushed aside lately -- kitchen, I'm looking at you... Yesterday a friend and I went to a mini baby conference thing. I have never seen so many babies in one spot. We watched speakers and had lunch, so that was nice.
Accountability: relatively small pouch day. Had half an egg salad wrap for lunch.

Hi Everyone!!! Another somewhat nice day by the looks of it - for now anyway. Sadly I didn't win the Lotto Max last night. So here I am at work still.
Won both my ball games last night WOOHOO!!!
Nothing on the go tonight, I didn't sleep well last night, I think I finally fell asleep around 430. My "guts" were rumbling and carrying on most of the night.
Post Op 3 yrs 2 mos
B - broccoli salad and a bit of egg salad (not together)
S - strawberries
L - turkey wrap on the high protein/low carb flat out wrap, cucumbers

My response wouldn't post either:

There are lots of options to try to make them taste a bit better. I used a shaker cup with a spout so I couldn't smell it as much. I also used lots of water and ice. I did 50/50 chocolate and vanilla. I didn't mind the chocolate plain and I added SF red raspberry Torani syrup to the vanilla -- I thought it made it taste like a viva puff cookie lol. If you search the site for "opti recipes" there should be lots of ideas. Some people recommended using flavour extracts. I found out the hard way that I didn't like them -- made a whole shake with added coconut extract. It was gross. So I suggest making small batches to try different flavour combinations.
