I have a few friends who had RnY several years ago, and although they ate meat with no issues prior to surgery, they each thought meat was yucky soon after their surgery. However, they gradually were able to eat it with no problems as they got further out.

I too have recently posted on this...that everything tastes like sawdust for me.  This is especially true for meat.  Yogurt and cheeses are starting to get flavor so I am hoping that soon I will be able to enjoy meat again.  Not sure if you don't like the taste or if they are getting stuck.  For me it's a little of both.  Vomiting, episodes or at least feeling like I need to,  are getting further apart.  I think we need to listen to the experienced posters and take comfort in the fact that it does get easier.  Keep up the good work....we'll figure this out :)

Have you tried cooking meat all the different ways it can be prepared? Is it too dry? Maybe experiment with cooking different meats ina variety of ways to see if the texture helps. For example, meat in the slow cooked is a lot tender and easier for me to eat then a piece of dry, dense protein sometimes. Or poach some chicken, let rest to keep in the juices, and shred with cream cheese and buffalo sauce.

What about eggs? Some people have trouble with them, but they are one of my favorites. You can have them boiled, fried, omelette, quiche, egg salad...

I'm 9 months out and I still sometimes have issues with meat :(

I NEVER eat dry meat, and never on a dry tummy. I do use 98% fat free cream soups for a dipping "gravy" or Heart Smart Light Speghetti Sauce.

I also use Unflavored Zero carb Protein... In my decaf coffee. With SugarFree hazelnut coffee syrup and Splenda. 1 full scoop mixed with water and then added to my coffee (don't mix it with ho****er it will make a horrible nasty mess)

2 cups of coffee and I have 51 grams of protein in. Usually throw in a Walmart brand protein bar (on the cereal aisle for 10g of protein) and even if I can't get the meat down... I've gotten the minimum in :)
