Topic: What's on your Hump Day (Wednesday) Menu?

Good Morning Gang!!! We made it to the Y last night even though we only swam it was awesome!!! Irvin was tired from helping a friend fix a bulldozer, but I told him he would feel better if he just floated in the water and he did. He also slept like a rock I don't think he's slept this well in years.

I'm in the scale house today and tomorrow so more cleaning to get done. You all want to hear something interesting. Apparently, someone called Renee the person who myself and couple of other people are covering for while she is out on FLMA and said I was going to call HR because she lied about how long she needed to be out of work for. First off I could really careless how long people are out for or for what they are on FMLA for because if you do lie it does catch up with you case in point that other employee who was caught lying and got fired. I did find out that it was a shift supervisor who said that because he saw her three different times last week riding her new Harley trike she had bought before she went out for her surgery and she is trying to get her FMLA extended because she isn't healing well. All I can say is Karma catches up with people who do shady ****

Oh Mel the cat tapestry came in and my plant manager gave me OK to put it up in the office he actually really likes it as does a few other people. :)

QOTD: Have you ever started something that really got you motivated to keep going? I don't think anything has really gotten me motivated to get the rest of my weight off and get healthy like joining the Y. I really wish we had done it a long time ago. Once we get into the swing of things I want to start going in the mornings every now and then along with going at night. Even Irvin is excited and motivated about getting fit.

B: coffee and squash and eggs

L: Swiss cheese and ham wrap

D: salad with chicken salad on top

Going to the Y again!!!

Have a fabulous day everyone.

Here's some of my garden pictures.

My part of Texas is semi-arid. We usually don't have a ton of humidity. BUT this year has been atrocious for it. I am not made for muggy conditions. Not at all. Lots of rain and normal temps but the humidity is a killer!

'The bird feeder shot is so cool! I've never seen one as pretty as that here but I'll look it up in my WA state bird book, who knows maybe they are on the coast. Hope you aren't part of this nasty heatwave too. Though I feel bad complaining, it is very dry heat here...how do people in the South get used to heat AND humidity?

Great job on the weight loss!

Wow, your photos are great! You showed so much more than whatever website I looked up yesterday and provided better scope of the overall site too. Thank you and yay for OH letting you upload them all. I'll have to drag Hubby in here to view them. And now I have to drag out my copy of the family genealogy because some of them were in the Salem area (one was a participant in the witch trials and 'later repented of it' according to the book) and maybe there is a Pattee in there somewhere.

QOTD: I don't run unless something is chasing me but for the past 30 years I've worn the precursor to the Nike 'Swift' then switched to that because my then-podiatrist strongly suggested it. Have to go back to Amazon today because I think they have a Hoka running shoe at a good price, I'd like to try that. (Not a Prime Day deal but the Clifton 10 is a good price.)

Your 'sliced soupy' is intriguing, is it an East Coast thing? I've never heard of it here in podunk Eastern Washington.

Supposed to be 99 degrees today so I'm just doing PT and working on rearranging my big sewing pattern cabinet plus doing some purging along the way. Going to try out my sideways mini stepper (PT said not yet but I can't help it!) in the a/c.

B: my usual shake ...at nearly 3:30 p.m. I am still drinking it

D: the first yellow squash of the summer sauteed, the shrimp I didn't eat last night with 1/3c whipped nf cottage cheese

LS: fresh Korean cucumbers and I may have to have a Fairlife shake if my protein isn't high enough. Haven't logged any of this today yet.

Keep cool and have some tall, iced bevvy's!

Good Morning! Those are amazingly vivid photos! I missed posting yesterday since my day was so busy at work and the day was over before I knew it. The weekend was good, I worked a little from home on Friday and then in the office for a few hours Sunday but spend most of Saturday afternoon with Em so my heart was happy. The rest of this week are some month end postings and the typical stuff before we ramp up again for the next payroll. I need to pass off the stores I have been holding since I was training the new team member but it's time.

QOTD: For running I switch brands occasionally but Mizuno, Saucony and Karhu are the typical ones I rotate between.

Menu is typical for during the day/snacks and for dinner, shredded beef tacos (net zero carb tortillas) with guac and cheese with cauliflower rice. Exercise is done, water/vits on track.

I hope you all have a great day.

I have read a lot about American history but never knew this site existed. Thanks so much for sharing.

QOTD: I have worn a brand from France called Propet for more than 10 years. They are extremely lightweight, about an ounce each. Other shoes feel too heavy on my feet after wearing Propet. I buy them in all colors and styles and rarely return a pair.

Those are awesome pictures! Such a cool site!

Good morning y'all!

Not much happening today. We have to wait around until the coffee table we ordered is delivered. Should be by 11am.

My appointment went ok yesterday. Got a little lecture about improving my protein intake...which I did deserve. I've lost ten pounds since I was there last and 25 all together since starting mounjaro. While I wi**** could be faster I am happy with it. The rational part of my brain is often drowned out! LOL. I know it's better to lose it steadily than all at once. I am impatient to a fault.

QOTD: I prefer sneakers step in right now for walking. I have big ol hobbit feet it seems. I wear a 12w. They actually have some women's shoes in that size and they are comfy for me.

B: burrito and coffee

L: chicken nuggets and ???

D: probably something like a baked stuffed chicken breast with a veggie

S: going to try hard to get a PP shake in there somewhere.

a pic of the video our bird feeder cam captured and a meme.

Thanks for the service your family has given! It is not easy and often un thanked. Their service and your family's support of it is much appreciated by me.

i'm getting better with emotional eating too. It's my go to for comfort and it's so hard to break that cycle. Congratulations!

Happy Tuesday Gang!! I'm a little bummed we didn't get to the Y last night because when I got home Irvin had been working on the big rabbit hutch, but realized some of the stuff we got the day before wasn't going to work so we ended up taking it back to Lowe's and getting other stuff. Not the end of the world as I just jumped on the home treadmill, but I was really looking forward to going.

Work was super busy yesterday, but I was able to all, but two reports completed so I am very happy about that. Now to get them done and see what else the day brings.

I was able to upload a bunch of pictures so let's see what I post below.

QOTD: What's your favorite walking/running shoe/sneaker? I've tried a bunch of different ones over the years, but it seems for me Sketchers always comes out on top. I have a bit of a wide foot and with them for some reason I don't need to have them in wide their regular fit perfect and are always comfortable.

B: coffee and egg with squash

L: salad with sliced soupy and sharp cheddar

D: grilled chicken

Either the Y or home treadmill we will see what Irvin feels up to. Crossing fingers it's the Y.

Have a great day everyone!! Now for some pictures. These are of the America's Stonehenge. Of course, the site won't let me shrink them.

My goodness are you right about that sound! They should make alarm clock with that sound!

I got to talk to the office manager. She was apologetic. Texas Tech had a major security breach and hack. Amarillo is the last campus to get it all recovered. The NP wasn't happy about it at all. She was upset by the lack of notification. Overall an ok appointment. I got lectured a bit about protein which I might've deserved lol

thanks!
